What would Jesus do

If he took a look at you

If he walked inside your massive churches

Saw the souls who'd quit their searches

Questioning minds left in the lurches

If you told him what was true

If you told him of the slaughtered masses

The bloody crusades and Hitler's gasses

Television preachers who act like asses

What would Jesus do?

Was this his plan

That prophetic man

The one who healed with calming hands

Or would he cry

For those who died

By the manifest destiny that claimed their lands
