Standing alone

Alone the child stands

Cold and empty were he is at

Looking out upon strange lands

How could a person do that

Tears fall from his eyes

Why is this child here

Taking a deep breath, he sighs

Longing for that person to be near

Reflections in the rain

What can the child see

Eyes show the scars of pain

What he will come to be

Don't want to be like you

Mirror image begins to change

Why would I want to be

Who is to blame

Little boy has faded

Became what you are not and can never can

No longer jaded

A man

Taking that first step

Walk on my own

Emotions so pure I wept

Even if I'm alone

My life a fable

Do not know how it will end

Finally stable
