Summary » Tenshi Gakuen is a high school in Koshugawa, Japan existing in a dimension where both Demons and Humans cohabit together. The story talk about what troubles a higher organization has to take to ensure peace in the school and the state. Meanwhile, the children of the powers have their average teenage troubles.
A/N » Hi everyone! In true manga style, I'm going to have this author notes stuff inserted randomly where I need it to be! Yay! So, enjoy this fic and do comment on anything wrong about it. This first chapter is an overall introduction to the characters and the prefecture this story is set in, therefore, it is really important that you read everything here. You don't have to remember everything on the first read as you can always refer back to this page. Koshugawa probably doesn't exist, and it's made up by me. Any similarity to real life happenings to anyone dead or alive is purely coincidental.

Tenshi Gakuen
» Angels or Tenshi are the most neutral beings on Earth. They have the powers of Demons, yet the appearance of a Human. Legend has it that when all Hell broke lose on Eden between Humans and Demons, the Great War began. Pandemonium and chaos reigned those periods and even GOD was powerless to stop everything. It was though that as GOD never did spent time understanding the subjects he created, hence the inability. By work of Fate, a baby girl was conceived from the love shared between a Human and a Demon. Of mixed heritage, she became an Angel. Her sole purpose was to send a message to the population telling them to stop and feel the love they should have for each other. After her message had been received, the Angel vanished. To commemorate her death, the Humans and Demons worked together and built Tenshi Gakuen where they hoped future generations would be able to cohabitate peacefully.
The Powers that Be» The Powers that Be [PtB] is an organization formed to ensure peace in Koshugawa. Much like the United Nations [UN] of our dimension, the PtB consists of Humans and Demons, each with their own superiors.
There are two superiors in the PtB, one Human one Demon. Below are the 3 major roles in the PtB.

Tenshi» Angels are very sacred and don't come about easily. This is because an Angel is created when there is love between a Human and a Demon and they mate. Angels need pure air to survive and they can't achieve that in Eden. Therefore, they die very soon after they are born. Also the pain experienced when an Angel is born is really excruciating. Most of the time, the mother dies. In Toruma Mai's case, he's a Demon but made love with a Human. She gave birth to an Angel and died in the process. The Angel was born without a cause and died almost immediately. Toruma was given a punishment so strict; his mother locked him up in an isolated cell to think about his deeds. An affair between Human and a Demon is not forbidden, but comes with a painful price. Toruma later escaped the cell and left the Mai family.
Tenshi Gakuen . Sakura Gakuen» Tenshi Gakuen is a high school in Koshugawa. Sakura Gakuen is the elementary school. The children of the PtB families all attend these two prestigious schools. Out of many other Private and Public schools in Koshugawa, Tenshi and Sakura are two of the few schools, which are co-ed between boys, girls, demons and humans. Furthermore, only the top brains are allowed in Tenshi and Sakura. It is close to being an 'invite only' school.
Societies . Clubs» There are many clubs in Tenshi and Sakura. Out of the various varieties, those graced by the children of PtB are said to be Elite Clubs of the year. Below are the clubs joined by the children of PtB and a sample of some clubs in Tenshi and Sakura.

Character Analysis» Kyou Soukou, 17

Kyou is the eldest son of the Soukou Family and has a huge responsibility, as the role of being the next Demon superior for PtB would naturally be passed on to him. He has an icy exterior but gives you the impression that you can rely on him for anything. As soon as he enrolled into Tenshi, he was dubbed as the 'Prince of Tenshi Gakuen'.
Kouji Soukou, 16

Kouji Soukou has a hyperactive personality and is always feeling restless for 16 out of the 24 hours in a day. 8 has been attributed for sleep although his dreams are pretty much still rather hyper. Sometimes Kouji gets frustrated when girls come up to him not to ask for his name, autograph… blah… but to ask him to hand something over to his brother. He hates being in his brother's shadow but adapts to it in the later volumes of the manga.
Shun Koata, 17

Shun Koata has a rival history with Kyou that dates back to when they were in Sakura Gakuen. Now, both have forgotten what was the real reason that started the animosity between the two demons. Shun is an easygoing guy and has this certain calming effect on humans and demons alike. We shall somehow find out more about his rival ship with Kyou in the later volumes. Also another 'Prince of Tenshi Gakuen'.
Sasuki Koata, 16

Sasuki joined the Kendo club to spite his brother. He regretted it at first but later felt an attraction to Kyou and stayed on in the club. Reasons? Read to find out.
Hana Koata, 14

Hana, like her name, is a petite beautiful flower of the Koata family. She is quite like the mimosa plant and is quite shy when it comes to matters regarding the opposite sex. Like Sasuki, she feels a strong attraction towards Kyou, but in the straight way. Hana would be a great housewife in the fact that she loves doing chores and making people feel happy all over.
Hanako Mai, 17

Hanako Mai is really good in sports but appears to be very absorbed in cosmetics and the girly works. She has always disapproved of the relationship her brother, Toruma, had with the Human girl. After the Angel was born [or died], Hanako felt that her brother had let her down and almost ruined her reputation. She hated her brother for doing so and was part of the jury that agreed to the decision to isolate Toruma in the cell. An angel born is not a crime, but an angel born without a purpose is sinful, therefore punishments are meted out to those who bore the unfortunate angel. She is quite an ok person beneath this rather self-centered exterior. The one thing is this world she was most grateful for was that she was born a demon like Kyou, after all, he happened to be her first crush [and probably the last].
Tora Sajou, 17

Tora Sajou is the daughter of the Human superior in the PtB. As she is a girl, the role of the next superior would be passed to her younger brother, Shutaru. Discriminatory is present for the role of a superior. Only in cases where a daughter is the only child shall she succeed the position. Growing up in such an environment has led Tora to believe she must succeed in a men's job in order to show the PtB what's right and what's not. She joined the Hackers Club to be a white hat and hoped to do an excellent job in this predominantly males club.
Shutaru Sajou, 15

Shutaru is rather short for a guy. His father, Homura Sajou is always trying to teach him the ways of the PtB but Shutaru just isn't interested in all the politics. Don't be fooled by his joining the Chess master club though. Nerdy as it may sound, Shutaru joined the CM for a purpose.
Mitsuki Kanji, 16

Mitsuki Kanji is a really clumsy girl that oozes friendliness and makes friends easily. Ironically because of that, she makes as many enemies as she does friends. Mitsuki used to have a younger brother, Mitaru, who would be 13 if he were alive. Mitaru died mysteriously one night while he was returning from Sakura Gakuen. Others say it was just a case of burglary turned fatal as his wallet had been found missing from him then. But Mitsuki firmly believed the discriminatory Humans received from some Demons still exist, and that was what she thought that led to the death of Mitaru. She never really trusts anybody especially Demons from that day on.
Haru Aida, 16

Haru Aida has been trying to gain Mitsuki's attention ever since day 1 but found it harder and harder to after the death of Mitaru. He was there to comfort Mitsuki when the body of Mitaru had been found but to no avail. He is the only one able to tell the two sides between Mitsuki, when she would block herself, and when she is her true clumsy self again. Mitsuki makes some enemies from the fan clubs of Haru Aida, the third 'Prince of Tenshi Gakuen'.
