Behind Walls Of Black Crystal

Against my bleeding walls of black crystal
Press the pleadings for hope and happiness
But never again will my gates open
And welcome the light with an iron embrace
For this is an infected and protected place
Not even the smallest ray will slip through
And puncture the blanket of darkness that grips me
Nor will it perturb the serpent that strips me
Of everything I've ever known
Injecting his venom until it leaks out my eyes
Consuming my light to fill me with lies
Convincing me
That without hope
There is no disappointment
