There's something worth dreaming while staring into clouds.

We laid intoxicated with thoughts, laying on the grass-

"That cloud looks like a heart."

"Nah, I think it looks like a goose."

A chuckle.

"I think I see Jesus waving at me."

"So wave back then", I replied, "And don't flip him the bird, I heard Hell smells like shit."

When you're young, everything's too fast,
but we do everything so slow, arrogant of our time.
We think we have forever, forgetting that we're all time-travelers,
another second wasted, taken for granted-
as we lay lazily, with our "I'll do it tomorrow's."

I was obese with ideas, too sure of myself-
but self-confidence makes for better self-esteem,
and I need to leave here.

Because I'm not like the others,
Right?

Reassure me, my thighs are enlarging,
I see wrinkles, scars, moles, bruises-
Flashbacks of mistakes are making my head burst,
Failures are rotting my flesh, and I smell like decay

Don't make me become them,
Tell me I'm beautiful.

Tell me I take your breath away,
my lungs are over-filling.
