TigHan: Lol, I know that you can't imagine someone acting that stupid around a guy…but see then there is me (I'm a fool) so yeah…anyways…that song you had stuck in your head did sound like it had to many 'edible's in it…. that's ok though!

Wizzabee: I'm glad you like the story…I'll try to put her thoughts in italics but I sometimes get them confused with the narration so bear with me!

dreamingofflyingaway: yes, I know I am a romantic…and yes French class was/always is useless, you know that! This chapter is going to be cliché again because I have to introduce Luke more…(he plays a huge role later on *wink wink* anyways yeah…Jake is a hottie…. well…ok, yeah, I'm not gonna give anything away.

Tarienelle: thank you…I'm glad you liked chapter 1 despite it's faults

Mad-Cabbage: thanks for the criticism, I'm glad you like my writing style though

AnotherDreamer: I'm glad you think that it's interesting…I tried my best to update quickly!

A/N: Thanks to anyone that came back to read this, I know the first chapter was cliché and everything…I think this one still is kind of. But I promise that the plot gets better later! So please keep reading and don't forget to review! I really want to know what everyone thinks…constructive criticism is good…I want to know how I can improve…. now, on with the story!

The ride home with Luke was less than calming. We were pretty much silent the entire time, and I actually wasn't thinking about Jake. About his muscular arms, and his beautiful smile, his gorgeous green eyes, and the way his eyebrows are just slightly uneven. Ok, This is exactly what Luke was talking about; my thoughts are always centered on Jake. Maybe I have some sort of disease. Anyways, my point is the ride was not fun and it was definitely hard to hide my complete and utter embarrassment from him. I also restrained myself from telling him about the conversation (or lack thereof) that I just had with Jake. I knew Luke was still right about everything so I decided to leave it at that and not make any more of a fool out of myself.

I began to pull my books out of my backpack. I have to do all of my schoolwork now because I can't concentrate on anything when he's around. Even without him around me my thoughts never seem to focus on anything else. I reached over and turned on my stereo. My room was immediately filled with the sounds of Jimi Hendrix's guitar.

"Chloe!" my mom's shrill voice sounded from down the hall. I could barely hear her over the music that I was blasting.

"What!" I shout back, angry with her for interrupting my music which was now pounding all of my thoughts out of my head.

"Get in here, NOW!" she called. That tone usually means something bad, and I don't want to get into any more trouble so I ran down the hall to go and see what my mother wanted.

"What is it?" I inquired with as much innocence as I could muster. I really hope this has nothing to do with my grades. That's one area where my parents aren't slack with me.

"I just got a phone call from the school and I found out something very interesting."

I silently cursed, "Oh and what would that be?" I questioned still trying to seem inconspicuous. I hope that at least it didn't have anything to do with History; my deteriorating grade would definitely not fare well for me.

"Apparently you are failing History." Oh great I thought to myself and looked up towards the ceiling, I just managed to jinx myself…twice.

"What?" my voice began to lose it's calm, "That's not fair, I didn't even know…"

"Well that's not good enough," she interrupted, obviously not interested in what I had to say, "you're not allowed to go out on school nights anymore and I'm taking away the car."

"But that's so unfair!" I yell in protest, "How the hell am I supposed to get to school without a car!"

"Take the bus." My mom stated simply, "Until you get your history grade up that's what you'll have to do, you have to learn a lesson Chloe." Ugh, I know she does this just to get me angry. I stalked off to my room to sulk for the rest of the night. Then I called Luke to tell him what happened.

"Hello?" After two rings a deep voice came onto the line

"Luke?" I asked, sounding like a whiny toddler. I mentally hit myself. If that isn't him whoever it is probably thinks I'm an idiot.

"Yeah, what's up? As I heard this I breathed out a little sigh of relief.

"My mom took away the car." I said, the anger bubbling back up into my throat and coming into my voice.

"Really? Why?" he asked, sounding slightly tired.

"Because I'm failing history." Both he and I knew the reason behind that.

"Oh, damn, that sucks." He said, sounding bored.

"You'll take the bus with me right?" I asked, wanting reassurance.

"Of course, I don't really have a choice you know, since I can't drive." He said, mocking my stupid question.

"Ok, good." I replied, choosing to ignore the comment

"So I'll talk to you later then?"

"Yeah…um wait," I said, dreading having to say these next words, "What homework did we have for history?"

"You were preoccupied in last period weren't you?" he said with a laugh into the receiver.

"Duh!" I retorted. He seemed to get great pleasure from my humiliation.

"Ok, umm, just read pages 63-74 and you'll get the lecture, and we have a quiz tomorrow on those pages." He said, a more serious note in his voice.

"Thanks Luke, you're a lifesaver," I said with relief, hopefully my mom will see that I'm making an effort.

"No problem." He calmly said. I could picture him shaking his hair out of his face.

"See you tomorrow then." I chirped.

"Bye Chloe."

A/N: Well, thanks for reading. This is actually a really short chapter…anyways, I really want to hear what everyone thinks…lol I know I'm repetitive but yeah, reviews are my life. :)
