Unanswered phone calls
I whisper my confessions
To telephone answering machines
But the mic doesn't pick up the tears
Your voice lasts for only seconds
And I call five times to hear it once again
But I hear what everyone else hears
And you're not there to hear my reply
I whisper my confessions
Claim my devotion
To your inanimate object
That starts with a beep
And cuts me off half way through
So I have to call to finish my sentence
When I just called to tell you
That I wish we talked more
