Waking Up in Two Places
Saturday, 11:30am
I wake up, relaxed and thankful that it is the weekend. Weak sunlight attempts to poke its way through the small gap in between the purple, cotton curtains at my window. I can hear the sounds of sizzling bacon and eggs downstairs and the smell of fried breakfasts wafts into my bedroom through the open door.
I get out of bed and half-heartedly drag a brush through my long, dark unruly hair. I eventually give up and lazily amble down the stairs, wearing my lavender coloured pyjamas and slippers, to see what's going on.
There's nothing that I need to do and there's nowhere that I need to be.
What a great feeling.
