Like poison through my veins,

The sting of the knife sets my soul free.

As the blade cuts downward on my wrist and takes pity on me.

Oh how my heart races at the sight of velvety blood

That is longing to be kissed.

Now how sweet this kiss is. I feel the warmth.

Embrace it my heart says but my head thinks not.

Embrace I did.

And again and again it begins till' the day,

Where the kiss fades as a mark into skin.

I'll make believe it wasn't real.

But the taste of its lips I'm longing to feel.

The thought of it wraps around me and yet again I am a prisoner.
