****This story's dedicated to Kendra and Nicole, since they helped me come up with this plan****

Chapter One
"I wish I had a piano," Nicole interrupted my sentence in the middle of lunch. Even though her statement wasn't the least bit funny, I began to laugh. Just the random-ness was enough to get me started.
"There's one over there," Kendra said as she pointed her index finger dramatically at the piano by the stage, behind Nicole and me. We both turned around to take a look, and I nodded. The piano had always been there. It was out of tune, and never played, except by the occasional idiot who pounded out a few chords.
I rolled my eyes but didn't say anything. "We could steal it!" I heard Nicole suggest. Suppressing a laugh, I turned to her and asked, "And how would we do this?"
"Easy! We make a plan," Nicole explained, throwing her arms out slightly to the side, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Okay," I said as I pushed my empty lunch tray out of the way. "To get to the can climb in the swing from those ropes!" I suggested as I gestured to the old gym ropes that were hanging aimlessly in our cafeteria.
"No, no no. That's not practical at all," Nicole said. "We have to steal a trampoline and jump up onto the windowsill."
"That's much better. I don't know WHAT I was thinking. How impractical of me," I mock-apologized.
For the rest of lunch, the three of us discussed the most practical way to acquire that old, raggedy piano for Nicole. By the end of the block, we had the perfect, fool-proof plan. We all began to memorize it, so it could eventually be written down.

During last block, which was French for us three, we began to finalize our plans. In between Madame correcting classmates pronunciation and the many questions they asked, Nicole and I wrote down the plan, in full detail. It went something like this.

~Kendra robs a bakery of all their toothpicks and superglue ~Nicole and Jackie rob Rite-Aid of all their notebooks for our boat ~Kendra robs Home Depot of all the tools necessary to set up a trampoline ~We hijack Mr. Neal's truck and drive it to the Middle School ~We jump on the back of a trampoline delivery truck and steal a trampoline ~Kendra sets up the trampoline, using the stolen tools ~We jump up onto the windowsill and break through the window ~Swing from the ropes onto the piano ~Tie piano onto ropes, jump onto top of piano, have Kendra push the piano, go flying out the window ~Load piano onto Mr. Neal's truck ~Drive truck to river ~Use notebooks to make a boat to float across ~Drive truck into river ~Get the piano across by using toothpicks and superglue to make a bridge ~Get piano to Nicole's house ~Break through walls and put it in her room

"This is genius," I whispered as I closed my notebook.
"So we meet at the bank at six, and then carry out the plan," Nicole whispered and Kendra and I nodded ours heads. This would be great.
