My Asylum

It seems like a hundred years since you left me here,
A thousand years to wait in shadows,
You said you'd come back, you never did
And in those years I've come to see,
This is where I need to be,
I've come to see, this is my home
My blood stained fortress,
My dark sanctuary,
This place is so dark, so morbid,
Yet I love it this way,
A place where I belong,
My final resting place,
My sanctuary,
My Asylum
The same thing, day by day,
The doctors, the nurses,
The needles, the medication,
I know they see right through me,
They know that I'm insane,
And yet they say you'll come back,
And I'd smile and say,
"You'll never come to take me away...
'Cause I'll kill you..."
My blood stained fortress,
My dark sanctuary,
You'll never come back for me,
And I don't really care
I'm all alone again,
My eternal salvation,
My sanctuary,
My Asylum.
And then the day I dread comes,
The day you finally came back,
I glare at you through the cold, harsh bars and say,"
... Leave me to this Asylum...
Leave me to
My blood stained fortress,
My dark sanctuary,
In this morbid and dark, white room,
Is where I feel safe,
My final resting place,
My eternal salvation,
My sanctuary,
My Asylum.
