Green Allure

A flash of green is all I need

To send me into reverie

Amidst constricting walls and tides

A torrent Hell of forming chains

But when a flash of green floats by

The chains constrict, then fall to die.

In clinking flurries the tide recedes,

Snaking chains about me rise

And in that moment of despair -

A morbid graveyard of nightmare,

Obsession longs for touch of hand,

To hold, to breathe, that flash of green.

The flash of green is all I need. . .
