As blistering heat has reached its height
As sun shows world her strengthening
As running waters cease to talk
Of beauty and of softening

As autumn leaves begin to fall
As soft gold sails a-shimmering
As petals fold and blow away
With wind from far shores glimmering

As first snow begins to fall
As clear white fire glittering
As mournful cries of cold wet birds
Fill forest with sound quavering/quivering

As buds of springflower first unfold
As pure as first leaf trembling
As birds return and sing for joy
Of new spring waters bubbling.

As seasons of world come and go
As wheel turns on a cart
So endless is the cycle of
The turnings of the heart.
