Far-Fetched Possibilities

Rating: PG-13

Summary: Almost every little girl's dream is to become a princess. When Grace visits London on vacation, her far-fetched wish from childhood might not be so far-fetched after all…

Chapter 4: Clumsiness

As Grace and Will enjoyed the company of each other through the Wimbledon game, eager photographers snapped away at the happy pair. Through their laughs and smiles and easy conversation, they were oblivious to the nosy press. Often they had to lean closer together to each other in order to stop from distracting the players. What looked like intimate whispering was actually the sharing of corny pick-up lines.

As the final set approached, the two actually started to focus on the game, much to the dismay of the press. After the game finished, Andy Roddick winning two of three sets against Alexander Peya, Grace and Will exchanged emails and phone numbers. Overall, they had a great time sharing the tennis match.

"I've got connections now!" Peyton sang out in the cab on the way to a pub for dinner.

Grace laughed and said good-naturedly, "We've only met him twice, Peyton!"

"I know! And that's twice more than most girls around the world."

"You know, not every girl wants to met him," Grace said, referring to the way she didn't even recognize Will when she first bumped into him.

"Well, I admit that the only reason that I have ever wanted to met him is because he's royal and hot as hell. If every woman was given a good picture of Will, I can practically guarantee you that they'd jump all over the chance to met him. Prince William is hands down a gorgeous hunk," Peyton said matter-of-the-factly with a wide grin.

"That is true," Grace confessed. "He is a hunk. Right up there with Jake Gyllenhaal and the adorable geeky Adam Brody."

Peyton looked thoughtful for a while, "What are the chances that we'd see royalty twice in two days?"

"I have no idea. It's funny how you don't see security all around him though."

"Hmm… well, now that you have his number you could always call him up and ask…" Peyton suggested.

"What am I gonna say?" Grace said. "'Hi, this is Grace. I was wondering where all your security was when I bumped into you those two times.' I'll sound like a real idiot, Peyton."

"Good point," Peyton admitted.

As Grace stepped into the bathroom to take a shower the next morning, her cell-phone went off.

Peyton reached over from her bed to pick up the ringing phone from the bed stand.

She propped up on her side at the edge of the bed as she carelessly flipped through the channels hoping for something good to watch instead of news programs.

"Hel-lo!" she brightly chirped into the phone.

"Uh… Hi, this is Will speaking, is Grace present?" a sexy English accent reached Peyton's ears.

Peyton's eyes grew as she realized who it was. "Holy shit!" she yelled. Then she remembered that he was still on the line and could probably hear her perfectly well. She reached up to smack her forehead and lost her balance, falling off bed and landing on the carpeted floor with a thud.

"Crap," she muttered as she scrambled for the phone, which had slipped under the bed during her fall.

Will was thoroughly confused with all the swearing and the thud.

"Hello?" he tried again. 'Not all Americans girls are this clumsy, are they?'

Peyton finally found the cell-phone and held it up to her ear, "Sorry!"

"It's alright."

"I'm kind of clumsy sometimes," Peyton said.

"Really? I couldn't tell," Will said politely. "So how are you?"

"I'm great, weather's nice today, how bout you?" Peyton replied.

"Oh, that's good…" An awkward silence followed.

Will cleared his throat, "So, is Grace there?"

"Oh yeah, um, she's taking a shower right now. I'll tell her you called."

"That'd be great. Thanks."

"Sure thing. Bye."

"God, I'm such an idiot!" Peyton cursed herself as soon as she said bye. "'I'm kind of clumsy sometimes?'"

What she didn't know is that Will was still on the line. "It was, um… nice talking to you, Peyton."

Peyton went bright red, and managed to spit out a, "Yeah, you too," before hanging up.

Will chuckled good-naturedly before going back to watching cartoons and eating Coco Puffs cereal.

Author's Notes: Thank you so much for the reviews! You are all so sweet. And don't forget to review! I really appreciate all the reviews I get and they encourage me to write more.

Orient Fox- Another long review! Thank you! Anyone would kill to be in Grace's position. I can't believe you're Asian! Grace is Asian too! I decided that she should be Asian

because there weren't enough female Asian main characters. Oh, and probably also because I'm Asian too! Another hottie with an English accent would have to be Sean Biggerstaff! Well, his accent is Scottish, but he's hot all the same! Thanks again for the lengthy review!

fouetbea143- Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far. Hope this chapter was up to par!

amber n- You live in Australia? That's so cool! I used to live in New Zealand, but I live in the U.S. now. I absolutely adore Prince William. I think he'd probably be the perfect guy. Even though I know that there's no such thing as perfect. But when you think about it he's well raised, athletic, smart, handsome, polite, and probably charming. And he has that sexy English accent that we all love so much! Thanks for the review! Hope I see another one for this chapter!

Fallen Fantasist- I am definitely a tennis fan! I love tennis! I play around 12 hours of tennis a week. So, yeah, you could classify me as a tennis fanatic. I totally know what you mean about Andy Roddick! I mean I'm watching him play in Wimbledon on ESPN as I'm answering these responses! He is very hot. =) I'm a complete sucker for tennis guys. All my friends say that my high school sweetheart is probably going to be someone from our tennis team. And I guess what I'm trying to say with Will attending Wimbledon is that he is a pretty normal guy. And I don't think there are box seats in tennis. I'm pretty sure. The best seats are always the ones near the bottom towards the middle. Anyways, I'm glad you like this story! Thanks for the reviews!

bluefaerie33- So far, the chapters are just about the two of them bumping into each other. And when you really think about it, Prince William would enjoy some sense of normalcy every once in a while. If Will actually attended a Wimbledon game, there probably would be security, but they'd be conspicuous about it. And Will was wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, so I think it would be hard to tell who he was. And with the long-term relationship and med school, we'll get to that when the time comes. But thanks for the review. I hope you liked this chapter!
