I suddenly
upon the evening
found myself
with waters gleaming
The rivers eastern
edge did follow
my footsteps that
waves did swallow
The sunshine shone
across expanse
tears filled my eyes
but my heart danced
A separation
filled my soul
unfairness settled
intentions cruel
Her every whisper
filled my ear
echoes strongly
lingered here
My longing only
quickly grew
as watercolors
painted hues
Those colors I did
wish to share
while hand in hand
without a care
Silent dreams
of her embrace
to place my lips
upon her face
Remembering that
fantasy
will someday form
reality
