Nobody ever thinks it'll be like this,
The way it is,
They expect difference,
Like their lives are so vastly disconnected
From the rest of the world
That in turn the world
Should make it special for them.

It's always the same, though,
And it always happens the same way,
With the same outcome
Because in truth,
Their problems are no greater,
Their trials no more difficult,
And their love no more fickle
Than anyone else's.

They just like to think they're different.
