I'm glad everyone likes the name Raythe! I love it. I'm trying to talk my sister-n-law into naming her next kid that but I don't think its working. Anyway on with the story...
"Damn girl you said you were on your way two hours ago." Lacy Mud says from her position on her porch swing. "I know it don't take two hours to walk three houses over." I shrug and walk up her porch steps. Tonight Lacy has on a pair of loose black pants and a tight Marilyn Manson shirt. Her black/blue hair was down flowing over her shoulders and she had on her usual smartass smirk. Yea were totally opposite. We have different styles and hang out with different people but I wouldn't change my friendship with her for anything or anyone. For as long as I can remember she's been there. She's been the one to hold me up when I was ready to fall. She's been the one who I run to when I have problems or just want to get away from my overly annoying brothers. Sometimes I truly believe she knows me better than I know myself
"Washing the dishes." I say simply taking a seat beside her. A small laugh escapes my lips remembering my little fight with Raythe. Lacy raises an eyebrow at me but remains silent. I giggle again.
"What's going on? Are you feeling alright?" She asks turning to completely face me.
"Yea I'm fine. Why?"
"Because you giggled." She grins. "You never giggle."
"I did not giggle!" I say shaking my head. "I don't giggle." I say knowing that I truly did giggle.
"What were you thinking about?" She asks kicking her feet on the porch for the swing to go.
"Umm no one."
"No one? So you were definitely thinking about someone." She says raising an eye brow.
"No." I say shaking my head.
"Let me guess." She says fingering her chin as if she was deep in thought. "Johnny." I make a face at her and she blows up laughing.
"I'm so over that jerk." I mumble looking out into the night.
"Good he was too preppy." I see her wince as she says it. "If it's not the pretty boy Johnny who could it be..hmmmm."
"It's no one important. I mean I don't like this person or anything I just had fun with him." Lacy looks at me for a while and then brakes in a big grin.
"Raythe Laketon." I nod. To say I was surprised that she guessed would be a lie. Like I said she knows me better than I know myself. "Hannah, Hannah, Hannah." She sighs.
"What?" I ask.
"You should just screw him and get it over with already."
"WHAT? Did you miss the part where I said I didn't like him? That means I'm not interested in screwing him." I whisper the last part. Lacy looks around like she's looking for someone and then turns back toward me and leans close to my ear.
"SCREW ISN"T A BAD WORD!" She yells in my ear. I jump back and roll my eyes at her. "You don't have to whisper. Screwing is normal and saying screw is normal too."
"Thanks for informing me." I mumble. "I don't like to talk about that."
"About what?" I look at her as to say you know me and she gives the same look back. "Hannah you're going to have to talk about it sooner or later. You do know that boys do expect to get laid every once in awhile. And well Raythe I'm sure he gets some all the time." She finishes with a whistle.
"Are you trying to make me sick?" I ask. "And how the hell do you know Raythe has sex?" So shoot me I'm interested. Lacy rolls her eyes.
"Have you seen him? If you haven't noticed the girls like him." Lacy shrugs. "He's just like those preppy boys at school."
"Raythe isn't like those guys." I say. Lacy eyes me.
"No?"
"No. He's better. I mean he has a future and he's not into drinking or partying or drugs." I pause. "And he'd definitely never hurt a girl on purpose."
"Sounds like you know a lot about him." Lacy points out.
"I have known him for years Lace."
"All the more reason to fuck him." She grins causing me to push her over on the swing. "I mean he'd be a good lay and you always say you want to know the guy really good before you loose your virginity."
"We're not talking about this." I say more to myself.
"What you should be saying is I'm not thinking about this." She laughs and I glare at her. "Come on Hannah I know those thoughts in that little brain of yours. You are running it over in your head. His hands on your body, his whispers in your ear, his name on your lips.." I jump up from the swing and begin to walk away.
"You're so sick Lace." I yell behind me. "I'm going home."
"Make sure to change your sheets in the morning Hannah you don't want your brothers to know you're dreaming of their best friend." I throw her the finger and walk quickly back to my house. She was crazy.
I throw the door open for the house not paying attention to anything other than how stupid Lacy was. Me and Raythe together not really together but TOGETHER!? That's insane. Not insane because I don't believe he'd be good because trust me he'd b..I'm not going there. It's crazy I'm not going to think about it. It's out of my head, no longer in my thoughts. The room was dark except for the glow of the TV. Lane and Raythe were sitting on the couch staring at the screen. The twins were no where in sight. Raythe glances at me with his chocolate eyes glowing from the light. Images of a naked Raythe run through my brain and I quickly shake my head to rid the nice images.
"What are you guys watching?" I ask. No one answers me. "What are you guys watching?" I try a little louder. Still no one answers. I sigh and run up to my room. I quickly change into my loose navy blue pants and my white tank top. After throwing my hair in a loose pony tail I run back down to the living room. Dumb and dumber hadn't moved. I slump in between them and they each turn and give me a small smile. My gaze lingers on Raythe a little longer, Lacy's words running in my head. She was right he was cute. I never really noticed it before. He had that boyish look about him. As I watch him I see a small smirk on the side of his face and he slowly turns to face me. He winks and I feel my face grow hot. I try my best to scoot closer to Lane but he nudges me back over with his elbow.
"How was the military boy?" Raythe whispers in my ear. I look up at him oddly not understanding what he's talking about. "Lace's brother." OH. Come to think about it after I had gotten over there I had forgotten all about Carter. I shrug.
"I didn't see him."
"Shhh." Lane glares at us. I stick my tongue out at him.
"Was he not there?" Raythe asks after a few seconds.
"I don't know." I mumble trying my best to shut him up before Lane hits both of us.
"What do you mean you don't know? You went over there to see him."
"Raythe shut up." I whisper as Lane stands up.
"If you guys are going to keep talking I'm going to bed." Lane stretches his arms over his head.
"We're not talking any more. Sit down." I order.
"I'm going to bed." Lane says. "Ray you can sleep on the couch."
"Thanks." Raythe smiles. "Good night."
"Good night." Lane grins at the two of us before walking off. What was that all about? I begin to stand but Raythe grabs my wrist and pulls me back down.
"What the hell are you doing?" I glare up at him. He grins cockily.
"I just want to talk to you." He says sweetly. I roll my eyes and sit up straight beside him.
"About?"
"Anything." He shrugs. "Military boy."
"Military boy has a name Ray-Ray." I say leaning my head back against the couch. "Why do you care about him so much?"
"I don't." He pauses. "What's his name?"
"Raythe do we have to talk about him?" I whine. Raythe doesn't say anything. I sigh. "His name is Carter."
"That's a gay name." He says.
"No it's not." I object looking at him but not moving my head.
"How many Carter's do you know?" He asks. I try to think of any but I can't. "That's right." He says after I don't say anything. I roll my eyes and shift my body around on the couch until my head is lying in his lap and my feet are stretched out. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing." I answer sleepily. Raythe plays with my hair and massages my head. It makes me even sleepier.
"I was thinking." Raythe says.
"That's never a good sign." I mumble closing my eyes.
"Ha-ha very funny." He says sarcastically. "Do you want to know what I was thinking about?"
"I don't really care."
"Fine then I won't tell you." He pouts. I flip over on my side and lean my head on his knee so I can have a better look into his face. He stares down at me still pouting.
"Come on tell me." I laugh.
"No." He shakes his head. "Watch your head."
"Why?" I ask not moving.
"Because I'm going to lie down." He says waiting for me to move.
"No." I say wrapping my arms around his leg. He laughs.
"Come on you little baby you can still lie down too."
"No." He rolls his eyes and pushes me up. I stumble on the edge of the couch but remain on it. "Raythe."
"Just wait will ya?" He asks laughing softly. He lies down in the inner couch on his side and pulls me down beside him. I feel like objecting but he quickly shushes me. "Now this is comfortable."
"If you say so." I mumble as he wraps his am around my waist and rubs small circles on my back.
"Do you really like that Carter guy?" Raythe asks ducking his head in my neck under my hair. His warm breath tickles my neck.
"Ray I don't know." I sigh snuggling closer to him. Being in his warms arms makes me feel as if I'm somewhere else. As if I could do anything. Weird I know.
"Are you going to hook up with him?"
"Hook up?" I laugh. "You have to understand Ray. Carter is probably the only guy I'll get to be close to because of my brothers."
"So?" He muffles in my hair.
"So!" I almost yell causing him to jump a little. "Ray I haven't been to second base yet!" At this Raythe pulls his head back and looks closely at me. I feel a blush crawl over my body.
"You're joking right?" He asks.
"Of course." I mumble embarrassed. I tuck my head in and try to hide it in his chest but he pushes me back a little.
"You were serious." He's still looking at me in bemusement. I close my eyes and wish I could take back what I just said. I feel his breath on my upper lip and I fling my eyes open. His eyes lock on my own and his head leans in. He kisses me gently and then backs away just enough to see in my eyes. Which were wide with shock.
"Rayt.." I begin but his lips land on mine again. This time harder with more certainty. I should pull back; tell him this was crazy just as I had told Lacy a few hours ago. But I don't. I lean into his kiss. His warm, heart-skipping, breath taking kiss.
"Let me do this Hannah." He mutters dragging his lips over my jaw bone.
"Do what?" I ask in a whisper. He was making me crazy. He doesn't answer right away. His lips trail up to my ear and nibbles on it playfully. I let out a small giggle and place my hands around his shoulders as he moves to lean over me.
"Take you to second base." He whispers in my ear causing goose bumps to run over the length of my body. "Or further."
"I don't think Lane will like this." I mumble.
"He doesn't have to know. No one has to know." Raythe says kissing my neck.
"So I'll be your little slut, your little toy?" I ask getting mad. He laughs.
"No I'll be your little toy." He corrects. Hmm that doesn't sound so bad. "Of course I'll have fun too it's just you'll get ."
"Experience." I mumble. "Sounds like I'm practicing to be a prostitute." He chuckles and lets his body sink into mine. His head falls on my shoulder.
"Come on Hannah." He says kissing my shoulder. "You're the one who wants to live, to have a little fun without your brothers interfering." He was right. Yea and his kisses. Oh Man his kisses were amazing. It wouldn't have to be any thing serious just a little thing to enjoy. I sound like a slut. Raythe moves his head back and looks into my eyes. "We won't do anything you don't want to." His lips land on mine for a short kiss but I wrap my arms around his shoulders and pull him back down as he starts to pull away. He groans deep in his throat and his tongue outlines my trembling lips. I open my mouth and his tongue enters and dances with my own. I smile into his lips. This could be just what I need.
a/n: Were you expecting it? They kiss and all that stuff- WOOHOO! I know I ended the chapter kind of quick but it's longer than the others. Anyway tell me what you think, good or bad it doesn't matter.
