AN: I don't know if anyone was wondering, but the italic beginning in the first chapter is foreshadowing for this chappy and the next one.

BTW, Ayida's dream is also foreshadowing, so try to keep it in mind! ^_^

Saktco's POV

I wonder if she is suspicious. I didn't exactly lay it on her suavely.

Saktco watched Ayida as she pulled down the covers of her bed, about ready to climb in.

They share bunk beds, because the apartment was so small, but the owner was nice enough to offer then a smaller upper floor so they could sleep better. It cost about 300 dollars more, but the owner told them to just pay for 200 of it, and he would cover the rest. He probably felt bad for them, after all, it appeared as if they didn't have any parents and were by themselves.

Saktco smiles to himself. He sure did know how to guilt people.

Ayida shoves her legs under the covers and glanced at Saktco, who was watching her.

A: "What's the big idea, ne? Are you just going to stand there?"

S: "Oh, I gotta go back downstairs, I'll be back up in a sec."

A *mumbling* "Okay…"

Saktco bounds down the stairs and runs to the shabby kitchen. Turning off all of the lights, he skips every two stairs until he reaches the top landing. Slipping into their bedroom, he can hear her distant breathing, and knows instantly she is asleep.

Ayida…

He walks silently over to her, bending over her, peering at her face. She is so beautiful.

He can still remember the day they moved in. He was so happy to finally get to be able to be with her for more time, ever since her father got custody of her. Their divorce was a nasty one, and whenever the fights got bad, she would run over to his house for comfort.

That's when she started calling me 'brother'…

Her father granted her the right to stay with him, and when he finally got enough money, they moved out.

If only you knew…

Saktco leans forward, while his nose grazes her hair. He whiffs a fragrance of wildflowers.

…how much I love you.

Leave me alone.

What is it with you? Why are you so intriguing? I hardly know you, and yet I feel as if I've known you for forever.

Look, I don't like you that way, and I never did. Stop dreaming.

Dreaming?

She took his hand and placed it on her heart.

If this is a dream, I never want it to end.

Ayida's POV

S: "Wakey-wakey, sleepy-head!"

A: "Ugh…"

Ayida slowly opens her eyes to see Saktco puttering around in their drawers. He lifts up a light blue shirt, and nods. Then he places some khaki pants on top of it and groans, throwing both of them into the drawers again. Ayida opens her eyes more, and turns towards the window beside her bed.

Gosh, that is a lot of light…

A: "Why is it so bright in here…?

S: *coolly* "Well, it is like, 1:00."

A: "…wha…..WHA!"

Ayida immediately shot up in bed, hitting her head on the bunk above her.

A: "We're so late! Why didn't you wake me up?"

S: "We are skipping today. It's not like anything special was going to happen today, you were just going to meet the rest of your teachers."

A: "Saktco!"

S: *smiling* "Besides, I want to give you enough time to get ready for tonight."

A: "…6 and a half hours?!"

Saktco laughs. She looks at him strangely; He has never been know to skip school.

S: "Actually, you have a doctor's excuse. So don't worry about it."

A: *blink blink* "I…do?"

Saktco waves it in front of her. It is from the last time she got sick and had to skip a day of middle school. It wasn't dated. Ayida smiles.

A: "Oh, I have a question Saktco. What exactly are we doing tonight?"

S: *sigh* "Actually, me and Sisuit had a bet. I told him he would never have a girlfriend as good as any girl I could get, and he took it. I figure everyone will split up afterwards, I didn't want to be with anyone I didn't know."

A: "But there are plenty of girls you could've asked!"

S: "…well, I knew you would say yes."

Ayida blushes. Was it obvious that she had liked him? It probably was. Maybe he was trying to make a move.

NO WAY! Saktco doesn't like me that way….or …?

S: "So, you little sprite, are you going to help me get ready, or what?"

Yeah, maybe he doesn't.

Nagina's POV

N: "Hey Ayida, do you want to get together tomorrow?"

A: *pouts* "I can't, I said I would do something with Saktco. Wait, I thought you were coming!"

N: "What do you mean?"

A: "That friend of Saktco's said he was going to ask you to come."

N: "Who, Camodi?"

A: *huff* "No, the other guy."

N: "Oh, you mean Dawedo. No, he hasn't asked me anything."

Ayida smiled.

A: "Well, he will tomorrow! See you later!"

What was that supposed to mean?

Nagina puts her hand up to her mouth to cover up a yawn. Math is so boring, and her least favorite subject. She peers over at Dawedo and yawns again.

He turns his head and catches her eyes, quickly giving the person next to him a piece of paper.

Huh.

She turns back to the front, watching her teacher drawl on and on about ratios and blah blah blah, blah blah until a piece of paper lands on her desk. She looks down, and scribbled on the top of it was Dawedo's name.

She unfolds it and read the line:

Look, everyone is getting together tonight. I didn't know whether or not you were invited.

She smiles and writes on the line below it:

Actually, I did. Thanks for inviting me though! 3 Although I don't know what time it is and where it is taking place. Do you know?

Thanks!

3 Nagina 3

She folds it up into the shape of a heart and passes it back, with her name on top. Peering back in front of her, she continues to scribble down notes the teacher was saying, not understanding a word of it, until another familiar 'plop' comes to her again.

She unfolds the note again:

What is it with you and hearts? It is at 8:00 at the Crescent Moon Park. Don't expect a ride, I can't offer one.

Her mouth tugs downwards. She picks up her pen and writes again:

Like I would! 3 I have a ride, chill out. Then I'll see you and everyone else there! 3

Love,

3 Nagina 3

P.S. I like hearts! Don't make fun of them! 3

Folding the note back up into a heart, she sends it back to Dawedo. The bell ran, and she starts towards the door, meeting Dawedo on the way.

N: "Here!"

He takes the note from her, and she bounces out of the classroom.

Sisuit's POV

Si: "Just leave me the fuck alone!"

Sisuit slams the door of his house and stalks out. He hates him. Why does he even have to be here? He walks towards Degei's house, unaware of even trying to. His mind is buzzing and he needs to relax. He knows her parents won't mind him coming early.

Just one block.

With his hands in his pocket, he watches the ground beneath him as it passed him by. He finds himself running to Degei's house a little faster, until he reached her doorstep.

De: "Hey, you're early!"

Si: "Are your parents here?"

He needs the heads up. After all, to know whether or not he should curse was important. He doesn't want to set a bad example in front of them.

De: "Actually, no, they ran out to the store to pick up some stuff. I hate shopping, so I stayed, *smile* but I think we should wait outside until they come back so they know we weren't doing anything suspicious."

Si: "Yeah, that's a good idea."

They both tumble out of the house, sitting on the steps leading up. She leans her head onto his shoulder.

God, I'm so happy to have her. No matter how bad things get, I'll always have her.

He leans his head onto hers, as they wait for her parents to get back. He looks at her face, and notices she had her eyes closed. She looks so peaceful, so relaxed.

The guilt built up in him…

I'm not worthy of a girl like her… she is so nice, and so understanding, and I'm…

…I'm a monster.

Sighing, Sisuit idly closes his eyes, trying not to appear stressed. Sometimes he wondered why she even when out with him, if it was just his looks, or if it was more. Sometimes he was apprehensive about her, but they had only been going out for two months, so he couldn't expect a lot out of her.

He just wanted to stay in this moment forever. He wanted to forget everything around him was falling apart.

Aspidi's POV

Camodi's late…

Time had pasted so quickly when she was getting ready, and it seemed almost immediately she was being shoved out of her house to get ready to be picked up. It was already 7:45. Camodi told her he was picking her up at 7:30.

She hears a car backfire in the street next to their house. The puttering sound of Camodi's car reaches her ears.

As: "What do you think you are doing? You're late!"

Camodi's car stops and he trips out of his car. He glares at her.

C: "Stop bitching and get in."

As: "I'm not bitching! You were the one that was late! Did your car backfire just now?"

C: "No. Get in the car."

As: "Well, do I look nice?"

He looks her up and down. She is wearing a soft magenta shirt that cut below her waist, jean shorts, black hoop earrings, and light pink eye shadow.

C: "Yes, very. But I suggest you get in the car, because we are running late."

As: "God, why do you look like crap? I was hoping you would look worthy of me."

C: *eye twitch* "Aspidi, get in the car, please."

As: "I would if you would open the door."

Camodi passes around the car and wrenches open the door. She slips in effortlessly, and he slams the door. Returning back to his seat, he speeds down the road at lightning speed.

Degei's POV

Mother: "Hey honey, we're home!"

Degei opens her eyes, and watches as her parents unload the car. She took a glace at Sisuit, who still has his eyes closed. Suddenly remembering about the park, she looks at his hand, which cradles hers. Reaching over, she twists his hand a little to look at the time.

7:50. I guess we should head out.

She leans up and watches Sisuit open his eyes.

Si: "Oh, do your parents need help?"

De: "Hey mom, we're leaving to go to the park, is that okay?"

Mother: "Yes, just be back before 10:00."

Father: "And be sure to take your jacket, too."

Degei rolls her eyes and looks back at Sisuit.

He seems so…distant.

She wraps her arm around his and pulls him upward. They start to walk down the road towards the park.

De: "So is this still for the bet?"

Si: "No. I was just angry."

De: "I thought so. So, do you just want to go somewhere and relax after we meet up?"

Si: "Yeah."

Sisuit smiles at Degei, and she just looks at him.

He is so handsome when he smiles, I wish he would more often. Sometimes he can be so cruel, but I know deep down, something's wrong. I wish he would just tell me.

De: "So, do you now who else is coming?"

Si: "I guess the whole group, huh."

De: "Do you think? Well, that's nice, since I haven't met any of them."

Si: "Well, I'm sure you'll like them"

It's funny how calm he is right now. Usually we are arguing or he is bickering with someone else. I'm so happy he is in a good mood.

Degei smiles and holds onto him tighter.

Si: "Hey, what are you doing? We can't look all mushy and shit when we get there!"

De: "Gimme a break! You were going along with it for the whole time earlier! What's wrong with it now!"

Si: "Degei, PDA! It is illegal in my books!"

De: "…"

You know what I know is illegal, Sisuit? Love. You don't want to be happy.

Degei un-loops her arm from his, and they continue to walk down the road.

Saktco's POV

S: "Hey, what do you think you are doing! That's my radio station!"

A: "Psh, it's not like you were listening to it!"

S: "Look, we are already here. C'mon, turn it off."

Saktco watches her hands fumble with the dials until a click is heard. The car pulls in and finally comes to a halt. Ayida climbs out of the car, seeing Sisuit.

Here goes nothing.

Saktco climbs out and goes to meet Sisuit. An attractive girl is standing beside him. Saktco feels suddenly attracted to her, and they both stare at each other as he walks forward.

Geez, Sisuit wasn't lying. She really is beautiful.

Saktco gulps and finally reaches them.

Si: "I see you brought Ayida."

S: "So..?"

De: "Ignore him, he is being a sourpuss. Hi, I'm Degei, and you are?"

A: "I'm Ayida!"

S: "And I'm Saktco. It's nice to meet you Degei."

Day-shee. What a beautiful name.

Si: "So where is Camodi?"

A: "I bet his car broke down on the way here."

Ayida and Sisuit start to laugh, but Degei looks worried.

De: "Well, I was hoping to meet everyone."

S: "I'm sure they're be here, don't worry."

What is it about this girl? I thought I was finally going to get the chance to tell Ayida how I felt about her, but maybe I'm not sure? No, I'm just nervous. That's what it is. C'mon Saktco, snap yourself out of it!

Si: "We're going to sit at the bench."

A: "I think we should wait for Camodi, don't you Saktco?"

S: "…"

A: "Hey Saktco? You alive there?"

S: "Oh, yeah. Sorry. Yeah, we'll wait for them. You guys go sit."

De: "It was nice to meet you Saktco, and you too Ayida!"

A: "You too!"

I don't understand, other girls haven't gotten my attention as much as she has. What's going on with me?

I can't tell Ayida how I feel. Not yet.

Camoid's POV

Camodi's car pulls up, and he sees Ayida and Saktco talking outside their car.

As: "Geez, everyone is here. We are so late."

C: "Shush. I don't want to hear it."

As: "Whatever. Let's just go meet this bitch and leave."

Why does she have to be so mean? It's not like I did anything to deserve this.

Yah, I found a decent author to head this story! I hope he likes it! Thanks for the R&R's everyone!

But that also means it might not be updated in a VERY loong time. Who knows. But it will continue.

Thanks everyone once again! I'll post the next chappys up when he finishes them. Thanks again! :)
