Ali: Watcha Doin' Saturday?
Eli: Going to a circus!
Ali: What?! That's awesomely cool! Where at?
Eli: Manson Road Park...I have no one to go with...wanna go?
Ali: Like what time? If it's in the afternoon I probably could.
Eli: Any time you want! It'll be so much fun.
Ali: I'll have to ask my parents, but probably about 1 or 2 would be fine.
Eli: Awesome, well, I have to go to supper, so bye!
Ali: What? I'm confused, like totally.
Eli: Why?
Ali: I thought you were on the "no-food" diet, the one where you eat only pudding and read Sports Illustrated Magazines.
Eli: *mournfully* I quit because I read all the old issues of Sports Illustrated and the pudding...uh...moldy.
Ali: I seriously never thought you'd stick to it as long as you did. Congrats on your self discipline.
Eli: *offended* You didn't think I could do it! Well, talk about yourself! You've been out for basketball, track, softball, and hockey, but you quit them all before the season was out!
Ali: Correction: I talked about joining them, I never actually signed up. You, on the other hand, disgraced the system! However, I must say, that "Times 2" diet we went on together was cool.
Eli: I finished every sport I went out for...and you did go out for volleyball and track! Not to mention Speech!
Ali: Track and Speech, yes, but I didn't quit! And I didn't go out for Volleyball. The reason you finished them all is because YOU DIDN'T GO OUT FOR ANY!
Eli: Yes, I did I was in baseball and volleyball. Moron, but you don't remember because you were too busy flirting with the assistant coach!
Ali: Well, DUH! He's a HOTTIE!
Eli: *grumble* I can't believe you...gah..just...just...gr...Forget about the circus!
Ali: WHAT?! NOOOOOOO! You can't!
Eli: Well, maybe I can! Here, *shoves tickets into Ali's hand* go with your "hottie".
Ali: Shut up! It's not like that. Besides, we're just friends, DUH!
Eli: Fine...I was being stupid, but you were too.
Ali: I wouldn't talk Eli Ecthye! We've been friends for, like, ever, I know your deepest, darkest, most embarrassing moments. *evil laugh*
Eli: *faking coldness toward Ali* I guess, Alison Luckness. Look, there's Macy. Hi, Macy!
Macy: Hi, Eli. *gulp* How's it going?
Eli: *gulp* good.
Macy: Sorry, um...I have to go, my brother is picking me up from play practice.
Eli & Ali: Bye!
Ali: *gaspy surprise* Eli! Do you have...a thing for her?
Eli: No...No, she's just a hottie, and a major one at that.
Ali: LIAR! You are so totally crushing on her! It is way obvious.
Eli: Ali, please, Macy is stupid and non-funny and about everything else I don't like...She's just hot. *shakes head*
Ali: Huh...so you're shallow and in denial. She's my best friend, Eli! You don't know her like I do-she's not any of those things you just said. Those are just rash, untrue stereotypes she's inherited with her status of head cheerleader. Besides, she is way crushing on you!
Eli: *shakes head again* So what if she's crushing on me? Look, there's Derek.
Ali: Don't change the subject, dip! You were so experiencing frisson. Major frisson!
Eli: *sigh* Ali, be reasonable. I do not like Macy...I like someone else.
Ali: WHAT?! Who? Spill, NOW!
Eli: Well...you.
Ali: No you don't.
Eli: *acts confused* Why not?
Ali: Because you don't like me!
Eli: You're right, I don't.
*Ali and Eli laugh*
*pause*
Ali: Well, I'm going home to call Macy.
Eli: Why?
Ali: To tell her you're girlfriendless...
Eli: Yes, I am, *jokingly* because I like one girl and one girl only- *begins to say "you" but is cut off by Ali*
Ali: Yes, Macy, that's why I'm going home to call her.
Eli: Man, you're skull is thick, because you obviously didn't hear me. *dramatically* Why do you have to punish me, why? Of all the cruel and unusual punishments...it's against the Bill of Rights!
*Ali sighs*
Eli: I'm leaving, see you at the circus.
Ali: Okay, but you won't be seeing me! I'm giving my ticket to Macy! *runs away* Bye!
Scene 2- -
*Later on the phone*
Eli: Hi, can I speak with Macy?
Voice: *excitedly* Just a sec.
*Eli can hear squeals in the background*
Macy: Hi.
Eli: Is there someone with you?
Macy: Yeah, that's Mishca, from my health class.
Eli: Well, has Ali talked to you because she said she was going to call you and stuff.
Macy: Really? About what?
Eli:*gulp* Well, I don't know, did she give you circus tickets?
Macy: Oh, why? Who would I go with?
Eli: I was just wondering. *pause* My mom wants me to go do some stuff. So talk to ya later. Bye.
Macy: OH! You mean with you! I would love to! I'll call Ali and get details! Bye!
*Eli hangs up*
Eli: *to himself* Crud, crud, crud. Life is miserable, I need to call Ali.
*Calls Ali*
Ali's Mom: Hello, Luckness residence, Marla speaking.
Eli: Is Ali there?
Ali's Mom: Who is this?
Eli: It's Eli.
Ali's Mom: *happily* Oh, it's you! Ali is really excited for the circus on Saturday, she hasn't stopped talking about it. Here she is! You and Macy have fun now!
Eli: Ali, I have um...two extra tickets for the circus that you can have and go with whoever you like.
Ali: Oh, That would be great! We can double! This will be so much fun! You can bring them to school tomorrow and I'll find somebody to go with.
Eli: Um...I need to call Macy and tell her...
Ali: Oh, I can call, I'm calling her back anyway about something else.
Eli: Ok.
Ali: Yep, bye!
Eli: Bye. *hangs up phone*
*Ali dials Macy*
Macy: Hello, this is Macy!
Ali: Hey, guess what? Eli has two extra tickets for Saturday, so we're both going! Any idea who I can bring for my date?
Macy: Um...maybe Roger, he's cute.
Ali: Wait, whoa...you mean Roger, as in the captain of the football team?
Macy: Sure, I can get him to go with you, well after all, never mind.
Ali: What? You'll ask him for me though, right?
Macy: Yeah. I can use my captain-of-the-cheerleading-squad powers to get him to go. He'd love to go to the circus.
Ali: Yeah, with you, but I'm just a Speech freak and a track geek. And come on, I'm not exactly Football-captian-date-worthy. I mean, he'd go with you, the head cheerleader, but not if he knows he's really going with me.
Macy: Come on, he's not like that. He would go with you. You're not ugly or anything, in fact, you're gorgeous. Besides, I went out for speech...and I'm going to go out with someone who is a baseball freak. Eli's not exactly "in".
Ali: No, you're right, Eli's not really "in". But he is way hot, especially since he lost the braces.
Macy: Yeah...so I'll ask Roger for you then? If you don't want me to, you could go with someone else in the posse or maybe a baseball guy...
Ali: You know, Greg is way nice. I've talked to him a couple of times. He's who I'd really like to go with.
Macy: Oh, you mean that cute red haired guy on the baseball team. Ask him. You know Greg and Eli are friends, so it would work.
Ali: Okay, I'll ask him tomorrow. He sits right behind me in Bio, so that should work.
Macy: Great! I better be going though. So see ya tomorrow. Bye!
Ali: Bye
*Macy hangs up*
*Ali calls Eli*
Ali: Hey, Eli. I'm going to ask Greg about Saturday, K?
Girl's voice: Uh...who is this?
Ali: Oh, Ali. Can I talk to Eli?
Girl's voice: Yeah, I'll get him.
Eli: Sorry, that was my sister who answered.
Ali: Okay, I'm going to ask Greg about Saturday, okay?
Eli: Greg? Well, okay, that sounds alright. So what's up? Anything interesting going on at your place?
Ali: Actually, I have to go do the dishes.
Eli: Oh, I see. I feel for you...ha ha! *laughs* just kidding
Ali: See ya, Bye.
Eli: Okay, Bye.

*The next day, Beginning of Bio*
Ali (turns back to talk to Greg): Hey, Greg.
Greg: What up?
Ali: Well, I was wondering if you were doing anything special this weekend.
Greg: Nope.
Ali: Would you be interested in going to the circus Saturday afternoon?
Greg: With you?
Ali: Uh, yeah.
Greg: Sounds cool...but I thought you and Eli were a couple, why aren't you going with him?
Ali: WHAT?! I don't like Eli like that. He didn't tell you we were together, did he?
Greg: No, but you guys are always together and..well, everyone thinks that.
Ali: Oh. Well we're not. He's going out with Macy this weekend. I thought we'd double with him.
Greg: Sure, sounds great.
*Teacher calls the class to order*
Ali: Well either I'll tell you or Eli will let you know when to meet and stuff.
Greg: O.K.
Teacher: Please be quit over there.
Ali and Greg: Sorry

*Later*
Greg: Macy hi *waving* I was wondering if you were going to the dance with anyone.
Macy: Uh, no. Who are you going with?
Greg: Oh, *blushing* I...I... *gulp* was afraid to ask Ali. Ya know...I just get so nervous and stuff. I probably sounded like a total idiot this morning.
Macy: OMG. You're totally Fris-ous about her!
Greg: So you're not sure who you're going with?
Macy: I might not go.
Greg: What?! You organized it and everything.
Macy: I know. But I might make other plans. Look, I have to go. Bye.
*Macy walks away and Eli comes in*
Greg: Eli you have to ask Macy to the dance!
Eli: Why?
Greg: Because...
Eli: Why!? Because is not an answer.
Greg: Because, um...I think...I don't know how to tell you this
Eli: Well!?
Greg: Because she said she might not go, That she might make other plans.
Eli: *sigh* So? She can go with someone else. I was thinking of asking Sandra, Else, Fern, Lisa or Conselo.
Greg (staring blankly at Eli): You know they'll all say the same thing.
Eli: What?
Greg: NO!
Eli: Actually they were all "hinting" that they wanted me to ask them. Besides, *pause* Oh NO! Look at that sign...It's the girls ASK the guys! This is serious! What if someone asks me I don't like?
Greg: I thought I knew you.
Eli: What?
Greg: I thought I knew who you were.
Eli: Why?
Greg: Before you got the message that Macy liked you, you were you. I knew you. Now I don't know who you are. You sound like a player, a freaking- player, Eli!
Eli: That's not it! It's just that I can't say no, and Macy! Macy is the hottest most popular Junior. Why would she like me? When she could have Roger! I mean, what if it's just an act? I am the biggest loser in this school! I'm not like you, Greg. You can have any girl you want!
*Eli didn't notice Ali had walked up behind him*
Ali: Eli, STOP! You're one of the least loser like people I know! I'm not friends with losers, remember? And Macy is crazy about you. Roger is a jerk who just thinks he's cool.
Eli: She does?! WOW!
*Greg slips out*
Ali: Would you actually go to the dance with those girls?
Eli: No, not unless Macy doesn't ask me, but I hope she does.
Ali: *Looks at watch* Man, I have to go.
Eli: Yeah, I have to get to class too. Bye.

*Macy and Ali talking before English starts*
Ali: So what about this dance?
Macy: I might not go. No one has asked me.
Ali:No one told you? That day that you were sick the school's social committee decided to pull a Sady Hawkins on us.
Macy: *excitedly* Really? I thought Eli hated me or something. He was waiting for me to ask him!...By the way Greg so wants you to ask him. He is totally Fris-sous for you.
Ali: I'll ask him in Bio. The dance is Saturday right?
Macy: Yes... Look there is Eli, I'll go ask him.
*Walks into hall way where Eli is*
Macy: Hi!
Eli: Macy! Hi...would you...like to...uh...never mind...
Macy: *playfully* Would I like...a popisicle? *both laugh* Actually I was going to ask you to go to the dance with me.
Eli: That would be great. I'll pick you up at 8:30.
Macy: Sorry for taking so long to ask you, I didn't know it was Sady Hawkins style.
Eli: That's all right I'm glad you asked anyway...eeps, gotta run I'm late for class.
Macy: No kidding, I heard yell at me to join the class.
*They say goodbye and Macy sits down next to Ali*
Macy: It's a yes!
Ali: 1 down 1 to go.
: Please join us ladies.

*Macy on phone with Ali*
Macy; I talked to Greg early so I heard. He said yes, but I knew he would...Wait the dance is on Saturday and so is the circus!
Ali: WHAT!? I knew but I didn't realize it.
Macy: We have to get Greg and Eli over here to decide call them. Bye.
*Macy hangs up phone*
Scene 7- -*Later*
*All seated on the couch at Macy's house*
Macy: The circus and the dance are the same day which are we going to?
Eli: Oh. *blushing* it was just a joke. I was kidding Ali, but I never got a chance to tell her. I thought everyone forgot with the dance and stuff...
Ali: Retard! *jumps on Eli*
Eli: I *gasp* tried to *choke* tried to tell you AARGH! I didn't mean it to go that far. *panting*
Ali: *gets off Eli* Okay, that's fine. *short pause* Okay, *claps hands together* What are we going to wear to the dance!?
*Boys groan and Girls grin*

*at the dance*
Eli: Macy you look wonderful.
*Greg and Ali talk in the background*
Macy: Thanks, lets dance.
Eli: Macy?
*Ali and Greg enter the dance floor*
Macy: Yes?
*Greg and Ali dance in background*
*Macy and Eli kiss*
Greg (to Ali): You know I've liked you for a long time.
*Ali looks up at Greg*
Greg: Since the first baseball game in seventh grade when you came to watch Eli. You congratulated me for helping win our first game of the season.
*Ali blushes*
*Greg kisses Ali*
Camera person: Hey, guys! Picture! *Eli, Macy, Greg, and Ali gather around and the picture is taken*
