Cinnabar skies;

Autumn leaves

Fading into

A mist of grey-blue

Night falls

Enraptured

By the verve of the stars

Now spiralling..

Down.. Down towards

Their demise, yet ressurection

In the minds of those

Bereft of hope.

Your crystalline gaze

Depredates my soul;

Wholeness,

Just out of my reach

Amaranthine once,

Now evanescent;

Now ephemeral as euphoria,

As pain..

Quiet teardrops

Of acid rain

Heartbeat echoes in my ears

Tuned out the distorted screams

Ruby-red petals decadent;

Vanishing into cerulean.

Empathy..

Turned apathy..

I've escaped

From the cruel world

Of emotions..

Haven't I?
