Listlessly, walking through a field

I turn to the sky and gaze

The sky's colours, are like a movie.

But with a sad ending.

My past decisions haunt me.

Like a demon over my shoulder.

Never will you again look at my face,

Let alone see the beauty you once felt.

Its warmth has turn into bitter resentment,

As the tears roll down my face,

You spitefully turn your cheek,

And the puddle grows larger,

Until the flood drowns me,

I am no more.

Your fear of confrontation,

Makes me continue to fight on more.

Like a soldier marches on through the night,

My determination is strengthened.

Give me on more chance.

To start a new,

The sun peaks over the horizon,

Judge me with a new genesis,

Not a prior revelation.
