In the silence of the night
I gaze upon the stars
In their pretty moonlit auras
It never looks like far
To reach out and remove them
From their cloud of bluest hue
But my arm must prove the shorter
Then the infinity that is You
In the silence of the night
I look upon a plain
Of grass that laps the hillsides
That border its domain
Of swaying dancing shadows
And flowers fair and bright
That mirror all the countless stars
That fade beyond my sight.
