Pale pink lightly tints the dawn,
As the clean, cool air blows softly.
The newbirds wake to give their song,
Inside their nests so lofty.
Sweet sunshine gazes upon the grass,
While tiny creatures romp and play.
Brilliant colours mark this day's pass,
As cloud tendrils wisp away.

Twinkling stars illuminate night,
And babes take to their bed.
A crescent moon gives off pale light,
Whilst flowers close their heads.
Wond'ring eyes gaze to the sky,
Searching for an omen.
Then sparkling stars wave good-bye,
And the dawn is born again.
