Chapter One: The Incident

'Thoughts' (sometimes the italics don't work on this site) "Speech" (you people should already know this)

'There is absolutely positively nothing wrong with me,' thought 19 year old Nia Harrison. 'Nothing-except the occasionally dreams and illusions of what seems to be my past life. My parents divorcing, my boyfriend breaking up with me, and failing my college courses.'

The song Bodies by Drowning Pool played on her car radio, she's driving toward her apartment.

'Oh, perfect song to be listening to.'

Driving she hears honking. 'Holy shit!' She slammed the breaks and felt her head hit the steering wheel as another car hit the right side of her Honda. Everything was starting to go dark. She could hear sirens off in the distance, and then everything went dark. . .

She opened her eyes, everything was blurry. She could hear voices all around her. . .

"Everything is going to be okay," said a voice.

Her eyes were getting heavy. She couldn't keep them open any longer. . . Darkness. . .

Nia was standing in an elegant building. 'Am I dead?' Nia looked around the building and noticed that someone-a guy-was walking towards her. He has dark hair and dark eyes. His eyes look like they could see right through you. 'Cute, but he seems familiar some how.'

"Hello Nia," said the guy.

"How do you know my name?" she asked.

"I know a lot about you. However, that is not the point. . . You are in the Land of the Dead."

She was shocked. "No," she yelled. "I am not died."

"Yes you are."

"No, I am not. I will prove it to you."

She started walking toward two great oak doors, which looked like an exit. She pushed them open and saw a vast desert. 'Oh God!'

Author's Note: I do not own the song bodies by drowning pool, but I do own the CD.
