In a country called Arrogance
Children and their families cry
And mourn the lives of those
Sent off to die without just cause
As innocent as those they kill
Believing in the false pretenses
In the carefully crafted words
It doesn't take a politician for that
To spin allegiance to a fallen flag
Or ignorance to the truth of war
It takes generations of blind faith
Of never doubting, never inquiring
The things they thought they knew
And maybe it takes that death to see
The pain, the face to face view
Of faces so much like their own
And a first hand experience
Of what can happen to the world
When a country called Arrogance
Takes the world into it's own hands
