Autumn
She fell in love among the leaves. Sprinkling, fluttering, twirling as they head for the ground. The oranges, the reds and the yellows. The crunching and crackling as she walks over them. Her head cradled in his shoulder crook. Her lips parted and her eyes trusting. His eyes are golden and proud. His dimples deepen as he bends down and brushes his lips against hers. The crunching stops as she swivels around to face him. Her hair caught back, reflects the sunlight and the colours around her. The sky is brilliant and he pulls her so she can see it. His arms hold her loosely, but comfortably. She buries her head into his coat. She inhales his scent deeply, and has never felt so safe in her whole life. The crisp air quivers as he tightens his arms around her. Her lips, rosy, meet his gently. Softly conversing, they run slowly against each other. His eyes mist as he looks down at his girl. His heart swells as he vows to protect her. To be there always. The colours and shades around them swirl as the stillness stays undisturbed.
The wind pulses around the two who have found love among the leaves.
