Seas of Green
May I look long into your mystic eyes?
And gaze I deeply into seas of green,
Where amour grasps me by my dreamer's sighs
And leaves me lost within the waves between.
Oh, bless my ears which hark the voice divine
That heralds love in whispers from the soul,
The words that chime like starlets as they shine
Retain the piece of heart they long ere stole.
The grin you wear does glee in me foment
And bliss does beam upon me like the sun.
I dote upon the time together spent
And dread the lonely moments Fate has spun;
Forsooth you fade to fight across the sea,
Alas, these are but phantoms haunting me.
