Just to set the scene, since I do a poor job of it in the first chapter - it's about a middle-school aged jazz band that travels to Tampa, Florida to go to Busch Gardens and perform in the area. So, when you're reading, keep in mind that everyone is twelve to fourteen years of age.
Chapter One
Hi, it's me again and this is yet another story about me and Mark. This time it gets interesting. The jazz band is going by bus to Tampa to perform at a music festival down there, and then we are going to Busch Gardens afterwards. Mark and I sat together on the bus ride there, and that's where we are right now.
"So. um, well," I stuttered trying to start a conversation, "the weather's real nice today, don't you agree?" I asked him.
"If you want to start a decent conversation, never, ever talk about the weather," he said laughing.
"Well, at least I'm trying to tal-" he interrupted me by giving me a long, passionate kiss on the lips. When we were done, we found that Daniel and Eli were turned around watching us. My cheeks turned bright red and on instinct, I turned to Mark. He was bright red as well. Eli, sensing that I was going punch him in the face if he did not have a good reason to be staring at us, said,
"Daniel, weren't you going to ask Erin a question?" The look on Daniel's face went from shock and a hint of jealousy to a look of disappointment.
"Not anymore," he said sadly. I do not know what he was going to ask me, but I felt like I just said I would never in my life consider going out with him.
