A bloody haze fills my eyes
As I look into my reflection.
My fingers itch with the pebbles in my hand.
Pebbles I threw into my creek.
Ripples upon the water
As I felt the pain I wondered,
"How could pebbles cause so much damage?"
72 hours the bottle said.
72 hours before I became empty.
Well, that 72 wasn't short enough for me,
So, that 72 hours became only one.
My mind echoes. . .
"How could pebbles cause so much damage?"
The bloody haze left my eyes,
Only to greet me in my stomach.
My fingers no longer itched inside my hand,
They itched at my gut,
They itched at my lungs,
They itched at my throat.
They itched for the pebbles bleeding inside of me!
The blood pushed the pebbles out.
The pebbles pushed the blood out.
It I was empty.
The creek became still as I woke up.
The pebbles were no longer inside,
And I quickly realized I was alive.
I began to cry.
Looking into the mirror I pulled out the bottle.
72 hours the bottle said.
72 hours my ass!
I threw the pebbles in.
Ripples upon the creek
