Her face streaked with dirt
Her red-rimmed teary eyes.
She's all alone.
She doesn't speak
Mute with sadness.
Staring at each passerby
Pleading a smile with those eyes.
All she does
Is sit and stare
No one ever says hi.
Now it's my turn.
I sit and smile
And say hello, what's your name?
She smiles back tentatively
And replies, 'I'm Sarah.'
