A pretty face

Masking the pain with a smile

A lack of expression and desire

A poet's heart, is within

A slightly gothic view

Of this miserably colorful world

An ache for understanding

Driven into doubt

Poetic lyrics, prying to escape

Untrained ears that tear it down

Vertigo of emotions

Whirl us through life

Constantly spinning, constantly present

Sometimes more obvious than others

Complex contempt holding us back
