Water rages through many obstacles
Mercilessly exploding over rocks and stones
Crashing over the edge
Only to slide away, moments later.

Niagara Falls is the sort of place
To come and ponder the meaning of existance
And ask the question, "Why are we here?"

Lights reflect off the water at night
Museums and stores of every kind exist
Money exchanges hands everywhere

It exists to flow
That is its purpose
It has no other

You go and you leave,
Yet it's still there.
It will be there for thousands more years,
Watching humans live and die.
Watching, watching, watching.

Watching and waiting for its time to go.
