Christmas Star
Down the street I see the lights,
Different colors, all shining bright,
Decorations everywhere filled with Christmas galore,
Anywhere I look, the houses, posts, and stores,
Then I gaze up, up at the clear night sky,
Where I see the twinkling lights lie,
I gaped a little longer at the bright shining stars,
Where it's all perfect, not one scar,
And there is where I saw it standing out,
Very unlike any star sprout,
This star is so different, shining so bright,
Just like the sun with its blinding light,
That star over there, now I see,
Alas, is what I call true Christmas for me.
