Snow

Feeling Winter's lips caress a cheek,

The unhindered cold,

Can almost speak.

Wishing, wanting, to close my eyes,

I pass along a silent prayer,

For incomplete good-byes.

The blanket of pristine white captures my embrace;

Within its gentle, fragile folds,

I can still see your face.

Melted ice creates your tears;

I can still hear you cry,

When you told me your fears.

Snow, beautiful and sweet,

Why was it,

That we had to meet?

And with the passing of the snow,

So I watched you,

Come and go.

The snow, the snow is only for a season;

And so I lost you,

Without any reason.
