Once it was a contented place

Until that vile attack

And those who were inside that time

Would not ever come back

Planes were taken without alarm

And flown into these two

Set to fulfill a painful deed

So soon downward they flew

And down fell the enormous twins

That once tied all the land,

The center of much deals and trade

Was now reduced to sand

As the grand pair was burning down

Inside, they tried to flee

Then jumping from such massive heights,

And so their shades were free

And as that morning turned to noon

No more was there to raze

Buildings that were filled with life

Was simply sand that laze

So now, the year has thrice been gone

Recall that ghastly hit,

Yet those who harmed still roam free

And thus lost souls still sit.
