A new twist on an old bedtime prayer. Not meant to be morbid.
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
If I should die before I wake
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
As for my body here on earth
That I have lived in since my birth,
Take my blood, my organs too
And do with them what you can do.
Give it to a worthy cause
One that will stop another's loss
But if this will cause you grief
Or I'm mauled beyond belief
Do what you wish, I care not
Though I would really like a lot
To help someone one last time
And give away what's no longer mine.
