Portrait

Starring into my reflection

I search for something more

Inside of me

Something for you to see

But I see nothing

Just a lifeless image

Like a snap shot

Of my useless outer shell

Heavy, my skin weighs me down

Like a suit far too big

My eyes, the windows to the soul

Are meer shapes, colors and lines

In the unforgiving glass

Extending my hand to this lifeless girl,

Not to touch her,

For I know just how she will feel

But to beg her help

Tears fall from her eyes,

They mean nothing

Its like painting tears in the eyes of a portrait

I turn around and walk away

And she exists no more
