"Confession of My Undying Love"
By Kathleen Grant
Dedicated to one of my best friends in the world.
Ever since I first met you, I noticed there was something in there that drew me to you. As I got to know you better, I discovered what it is. It is an unnamable quality that represents the Good inside of you. It tells me that you are understanding and caring.
I know that I'm not perfect, and I've made some bad decisions that nearly ruined our friendship. Still, you understood my nature and forgave me. It was never my intention to hurt you, one of my closest friends.
You don't know how much you mean to me. I can hardly stop thinking of you, worrying about your problems, hoping you're well. The other night, I sat outside in the falling snow, and I could feel you. You were outside too, admiring the beauty that was taking place before our eyes. What I wouldn't give for a midnight stroll in the snow, just me and you.
You can always cheer me up, no matter how bad my day has been. I don't know how you do it, but you do. Now matter how hard I've been crying, I end up with a smile on my face. You make that smile appear.
You manage to trigger the deepest of my emotions, and you've helped me to understand myself more clearly. We've helped each other through hard times in life, and we always come out with a laugh. I feel a deep connection with you, deeper than I can say that I remember.
Thank you for being the best friend I've ever had. Thank you for all the memories. Thank you for being there for me. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.
I do love you, and I always will.
