In his dark room I'm creeping
Quietly, like a thief.
He Whom I Loved was sleeping
Waiting for me to leave.
Must have been tired of fighting
He Whom I Loved so much.
He found it really frightening
That we were losing touch.
Said we were going nowhere,
We'd better take a break,
Should have been moving slower…
He Whom I Loved won't wake.
My life now had no meaning:
Walk out, don't close the door.
He Whom I Loved was dreaming,
I dropped a match afloor.
The flames are getting nearer
Pushing away all doubt.
Luckily, this last tear
Won't put this fire out.
