Josh shuffled through the papers that Rebecca had given him. She stood in the living room waiting for him to confirm her part of the deal. The story was written only a half an hour ago when Josh called, bugging for something he could have to look over. Rebecca had forgotten about Josh and the publishing deal with all her new worries blocking out her old troubles. She scribbled down a few thoughts and managed to make three chapters about absolutely nothing.
"I like it, but there is no point."
Rebecca sheepishly looked down, "Yeah, I was caught off guard."
Josh handed the papers back, "I need something better than this. I have to have something to show next month."
"I know, I know it's just some things have come up."
"Oh your fake boyfriend, right?"
Rebecca gasped, "How you know?"
Josh laughed, "Honey, Damien is like a brother; he tells us everything. He wasn't too happy when he told us that news though."
"I feel like I'm being pulled apart in two directions," She sighed and sat down on the couch. "I mean, I love Damien and all but I'm just trying to help Logan out with his family problems. I don't want Damien to be angry with me."
"He's not angry," Josh sat besides her, "He's just concerned for your wellbeing. Don't fret so much, this is only temporary. What I would be worried about is Damien and Cameron's new movie career."
"Uh? How so?"
"Well, I am proud that those two are on to bigger and better things but movie star relationships are a lot worst than models, in my point of view. Magazines like the ones we were in weren't national. Movies are a bit more widespread."
"But you guys went to Paris and people knew you there."
"Yes, but not all teenagers read magazines; movies are more, what's the word, public? Anyway, I think you should lessen the leash on your boy till you two get married."
"Josh! How can you think that?"
Josh pretended to be shocked, "What of marriage, or the leash bit?"
Rebecca stuttered, "Both actually. I trust Damien."
"And I do too, but…"
Cameron busted into the apartment, "I'm HOME!"
Rebecca and Josh turned to face him. "Welcome home," They both said.
"Becca, Becca, Becca; I didn't think you would be here!"
"I had some papers to show Josh. I thought you had a meeting today, at least that's what Allison told me."
"Oh yeah I should call her. The meeting was cut short, something about the actor playing Fiona having some contract issues. Anyway everything has been set so as soon as she signs her part, we can start next week." Cameron came over and sat in his own personal, orange chair and fished through his bag to find his cell.
Josh asked, "How long is this movie gonna to take in filming wise?"
"Well… Movies usually take a few years to finish but since this is going to be a television movie, it should take more than a year or so."
"Television Movie? You never mentioned that before? I thought we were going to see this in theatres."
"Oh you will, at least the premiere. I mean, everyone has to start small, even us."
Rebecca said, "A movie is a movie, I still can't wait to see it."
Cameron nodded as he dialed Allison's number, "I can't wait myself. Hello? Allison? Hey, it's Cam. I'm at home with Josh and Rebecca. When you get this message call me back. Okay? Bye. Love ya."
"Not home huh? Well, I have nothing to do for the rest of the day. What do you guys want to do?" Josh asked.
Rebecca pondered, "I do have some homework due tomorrow, but I suppose I could stay out for a little while."
Cameron said, "How about we go out, find the gang, and head out for some unknown adventure."
Josh inquired, "Unknown adventure? What do you think we would be doing? Finding the goblet of youth?"
"Ah I've got all the youth that any male hotshot would ever need. Nah, I was thinking maybe we could just walk around and find something to do. It seems like we never hang out as a whole anymore. Not like last year."
Rebecca tried to ease his sorrow, "Things are a bit different this year. I mean, everyone is working; it's our last year in high school. It will even be worst next year because of college and professional careers. I guess it's a bit sad to think about it."
"Cameron, Rebecca, lets not worry about it so much. We have this one last year to enjoy as teenagers, then next year will be our adults years; except for Cameron who will still be a child."
"Hey!"
The three of them called the gang together, except for Allison who was out of touch, and met up at the park to do some hiking around the town. Kale and Jason, sprouting with cash, treated everyone to lunch before they went out to window shop and just hang around to forget about school the next day. Damien and Cameron discussed how the movie was coming along, then later one everyone got into a heated discussion about the school's upcoming Star of Champs Week on which teams will go all the way or not. They were all having a great time until Rebecca's cell went off.
"Hello?"
Allison said breathless, "Rebecca, its Allison."
She shifted away from Damien and walked outside from the clothing store they were in at the moment. "Are you okay? You sound a bit tweaked out."
"I went to the salon today and a couple of other places and I noticed that these same three guys keep following me everywhere I go. They haven't done anything let but, it's really creeping me out. Could you pick me up? Wait a minute hold on."
Rebecca pressed a finger to her other ear to try and hear what was going on. It seems that Allison was holding her phone against her pants, jogging away with her high heels clicking away against the sidewalk. She stopped suddenly and then she came back unto her phone, "Sorry, I think I lost them for a bit. They saw I was talking on my phone and they started to walk faster. Please just come pick me up. I don't know if I'm just being paranoid or…"
Rebecca cut her off, "We'll be there in five minutes."
Allison rattled off the address to where she was and Damien with his motorcycle went off to get her since he would be able to reach her the quickest. Cameron was anxious to no end, and wouldn't sit nor talk with anyone until Allison came back. They stayed outside of the store they were in, checking the streets for any sign of Damien on his bike with Allison.
"Boo!" Rebecca gasped as someone from behind tapped her on the shoulder. Kale, Josh, and Jason turned sharply with the intention to harm her attacker since they were already pumped up in offense mode. She instantly started to relax as soon as she saw who it was.
"Logan! Please don't do that, we're kinda on edge right now."
Logan grinned happily, "Sorry about that. I was walking by and I happened to spot you so I couldn't help spooky you a bit. I didn't realize you were already distress."
Rebecca waved down her boys, telling them she was okay. "Guys this is Logan, a new friend of mine." Josh stared at her, his eyes smirking. She cleared her throat, "Logan these are my friends; Josh, Jason, Kale, and Cameron."
"Nice to meet all of you," Logan said sweetly. "I have nothing to do today, do you mind if I just stay with you."
Jason said sharply, "Actually I do mind."
"Jason, don't be so rude," Rebecca scowled. "Of course you can stay, but we might be going home soon so…"
"Say no more, I completely understand. I won't over stay my welcome."
All of them fell silent, still waiting for any news of Damien and Allison. Checking to make sure no one was looking; Logan peek his camera cell out of his pocket and sneaked a picture of the guys standing together. Three more pictures later, he smugly returned his phone to its place, and waited with them. He had no more reason to stay with them, but it would be suspicious if he came up to them, asked to stay, and then leave quickly with no excuse.
It didn't take long for an excuse to pop up. Down the street the rev of a motorcycle was coming and soon the gang was able to see Damien with Allison holding unto his back. He pulled up to where they were and Cameron immediately came to Allison's side to help her out and to comfort her with hugs and whispers.
Damien took off his helmet and was about to say something when he noticed Logan. "What is he doing here?"
Logan smirked, "Leaving. I'll see ya around Rebecca." He strolled off without another word, knowing he was no longer welcome from more than one person.
With him gone from sight, Damien finally said what he needed to, "There were three guys following Allison, they tried to follow me to but I lost them in some back streets."
Cameron asked, "Why would anyone want to follow Allison?"
"Your guess is good as anyone," Kale said. "However, I would recommend that Allison stay with someone at all times until we can make sure nothing like this will happen again."
Allison nodded, "I will. I won't go out alone again."
AN: Not as good as some other chapters, but it was necessary to keep the story going. And just to let everyone know, I'm going back to once a week update unless something happens that is out of my control. I really don't know where I'm heading with this story but something is bound to come out interesting, I mean everyone knows there are two plots going at the same time so try and see which comes first and how it might effect the characters eh.
