Chapter 2
Angel Trouble

Well, I didn't receive as many reviews as last time but I still got some so 33 heh. Thanks a lot!

ellabella – Heh well im glad you know who this is now! And I appreciate the reviews and the compliment :) And I did update the fiction Flashbacks Of Your Past Life

birdytamel – Thanks for the reviews and the suggestions. I took them under account, and I just wanted to let you know that I will do some things in future chapters – like add the details you mentioned. I didn't do them yet because of the way I will play it out ) Note that the first thing is only a short Prologue just so you're not completely lost.

Slowly he awoke to the gentle tossing and turning motions of the girl he had just slept with. Thinking back to the previous day, he grinned; it was a good day. His mother and father were finally out of his hair and his brother, well… he wasn't them. He slowly lifted himself up and off the bed when a knock was heard at his door.

"What is it?" He sighed, not bothering to keep his voice down for the sleeping whore in his bed.

The door inched open and a worn female face peered through the crack.

"Master Derek, you are summoned in the library." She told him slowly.

It was the same slave as the other day, the one who he hated.

"Why?" He replied, already annoyed.

"Why what, master?" She questioned.

Upon seeing Darek's annoyance, she quickly covered up her fault.

"I was not told, sir, but I heard speak of it being lessons with Mr. Ravenheart."

Mr. Ravenheart was the only one that Darek attempted to listen to. He had counseled their family for 114 years; he had talked to his mother and father long enough so that Darek could go to high school – to "learn about humans". He had prevented family abuse when Darek and his brother were "too young" to do things right. He had helped his mother accept her marriage and helped her kids when she had become aggressive and sluttish. He had also saved Darek's life when his father had lost his temper.

Flashback

Upon hearing a sneeze, providing from the washroom, Matthew's face hardened.

"What was that?" Young Darek panicked.

"What was what?"

"Don't play dumb with me, child." He reprimanded his son and walked to the source of the sound – the washroom.

Darek leaned against the wall and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. Oh please don't… He hoped to himself. Moments later, not a sound was heard and Matthew came out, his face emotionless. He was taking slow steady steps towards his shaking son.

"Dad…" He called out, frightened of his father's hidden anger.

But that didn't stop him. With every step, Darek regretted bringing Juli to his home. He never thought his father would find her or get this mad about it.

"She's only human dad! What's wrong with that? Dad? Talk to me…!" He tried to reason with him, but to no avail.

Matthew was now in front of him, with a vice-like grip on his neck, lifting him off the ground. His eyes pleaded with his father's but he showed no mercy. He relentlessly threw his body to the wall which proceeded in dropping to the floor.

"Get up."

"Dad!"

He disliked immensely his father's abuse – it wasn't the first time but it still frightened him to death, though, this time a thing in his father's angry eyes scared him even more. Matthew picked him up and threw him again, across the room. His back connected with the hard wooden corner, bruising it up. Darek let out a small moan for the throbbing back pain. He was then found quickly back in the air, his dad's hands across his neck. Anticipating the next object he'd be thrown into, he was most shocked when his father dropped him. He had been too scared to notice Mr. Ravenheart coming towards them.

"Matthew, he is just a child. He wouldn't know."

"Doesn't matter. He shouldn't have brought her here. You know my rules against angels."

"But you too did not know how to recognize them when you were his age!"

Matthew looked down at Darek harshly, and for a second he thought he was going to get kicked, but then surprisingly he turned and left the room.

End of Flashback

"Darek, snap out of it! Pay attention."

He nodded respectfully and focused on the older man sitting next to him.

"Could you repeat what I just said?" He asked.

Darek looked confused and looked down. A sigh escaped from his teacher's lips.

"Will you ever learn? I really don't have all day and you have to learn this."

Again, he nodded.

"Alright. Angels'pupils are slightly smaller and their blood tastes different. It is more, sweet – but no any thicker. Their hair is also slightly lighter in color then it would be, should they be humans. That's the physical differences."

Darek nodded in comprehension and wrote this all down, feeling like he were in class.

"They also have certain abilities. Unlike demons they can't read minds and they don't always know of what they really are. They can tend wounds and put up shields. God, though, had equal power with the Devil – your brother."

He did his best to keep up as Mr. Ravenheart babbled on for nearly an hour. They usually had these 'classes' once a month, about random 'important' things that he 'must' learn. Much like high school, he had to copy notes and instead of written tests, he had to demonstrate his knowledge by the way he acted and reacted to situations. One good thing though, is that there is no homework. One bad thing would be that you just simply can not afford to 'fail' the classes.

"Well, I have to go to your brother now. But oh, I almost forgot. I was able to talk to your father before he passed, he wanted for me to tell you something."

Darek shivered upon talking about his deceased dad, annoyed that even though he was dead, he still managed tobother him.

"What is it?" he questioned his tutor.

This one decided to disregard the sarcasm in the younger one's voice for once, and replied.

"Seventeen years ago, Matthew went to earth. As he may not have told you, he had fallen in love with a woman on earth, but this one got married to an Angel much to his disagreement. Well, once he had heard about this wedding, he was so angered that he went to earth and killed them both. But, before this, the husband transported their daughter away so that he could not kill her too. He then threatened the family that he would claim their child and bring her to hell because he wasn't able to be with Trinity. Well, as you know, she is now dead, but he is passing onto you this task. She was claimed by the Devil and Matthew knows that Tyson is already with someone, therefore she is yours to take."

Darek shook his head. He's dead and I am still doing things for him. Pathetic.

"Anyways, I have to get going. I'll see you for next week's lesson and I hope you will be more awake then."

Mr. Ravenheart retreated from the room as Darek thought over about the new information he had just learned.

So that's it then. That's what it was. Juli was an angel… and he had to kill her. But why? I mean... I could have changed her, right? He just wanted to make me miserable. That little piece of…His thoughts went to his father once more. Once he took note of this, he stopped immediately and returned to his room, still finding the blonde girl sprawled there. It was only 10 in the morning after all, but this time he woke her up – and kept her busy.

Thanks birdytamel for the corrections.

The chapter's not that big, but it was sort of like a filler I suppose. I lost my plot line when I reformatted my laptop (to put XP on it… :D) but I remember what I had written, so I think that's ok. Other then that… I have a lot of things coming up in this fiction, so keep an eye out! And please review, even if it's just 'Hope to see the next chapter.' (or I don't hope to see the next chapter.. which ever lol) Thanks a lot.
