Author's Note: I'm glad you all liked the last book. Earth Mystic, you'll like this one, most of it's from Ryan's POV ;) And like I said, you might actually end up waiting for some of this one, I'm still in the middle of writing chapter seven, but it's not like the other books with only nine chapters. I think this one's gonna end up having fifteen or more, it's a lot longer than the other two and I'm hoping to expand the other two eventually…. Anyways, enjoy! Oh, and just as a note, I don't believe in heaven or hell, but I've always wanted to write about a place of the dead, and this seemed like the best option… you'll see why later on. ;)
Faerie Hell"Yes"… the words echoed in Ryan's head, it was the night after his coronation, the night after he had asked Sara to marry him, and the night after she said yes. Ryan felt like the luckiest man in the world, She said yes! He was sitting in his father's study, now his own, trying to concentrate on the papers in front of him; something to do with the war's death toll. But he couldn't think about death, he was too happy. His heart felt two sizes bigger than usual, he almost couldn't feel his muscles, his body was so numb with happiness. She said yes! But there was still a tiny bit of sadness in his heart, his father wouldn't be there to see him and Sara get married, and Sara would be leaving the next day; she wanted to finish high school before they got married. And then he would have to concentrate on his duties…. But he had promised to visit Sara often; he didn't want to be without her for a whole eight months, he couldn't bear to be without her again.
Ryan sighed, looking behind him at the guards, they followed him around everywhere now; a king never had much privacy. He looked at the crown in its case, it was still hard for him to believe, even though his father had been dead for two weeks now. I'm the King… he smiled, he had become king an engaged in just one day, he was the happiest man alive, and no one could change that.
Sara sat at the window seat in what she thought of as her room, a bag at her feet. She smiled, looking at the ring on her finger. I'm going to be married! She had never loved another guy besides Ryan, but she knew, as she had always known, that she would love Ryan for the rest of her life. Maybe that's why it was so easy to say yes… She thought, smiling. She hadn't felt any doubt as she said it only bliss. I'm going to be married! But she looked at the bag, only inches away from her and sighed, she was leaving soon. And she would have to tell her parents everything… It was going to be hard, there was so much to tell them. All about the faeries, about Ryan… and then she would show them the ring. The more she thought about it, the more she knew she couldn't do it alone. She got up, leaving the room, nodding at the guard outside her room; Ryan refused to let her be unguarded. The study was only a few minutes away from Sara's room; she knew he would be there, working. Sara walked into the room, "Ryan?"
Ryan turned around in his chair, "Yeah?" he grinned.
Sara smiled, coming to sit on the edge of the desk, "I've been thinking… I have to tell my parents everything."
Ryan nodded, "I know… I've been thinking about that too, do you think your parents will be okay with… everything? They're a little uptight…" Ryan chuckled, "they won't come and attack us or anything will they?" Ryan said, half joking, half serious.
Sara laughed, "No, nothing like that. I'm almost eighteen, I'll be able to do what I want, we don't have to worry about them refusing to let us get married or anything. But I have to tell them; they're my parents.
Ryan nodded, his face turning bitter in spite of his good mood, "I know what you mean."
Sara looked him in the eyes, "I'm sorry Ryan, I know how you must feel right now… I miss your dad too." She said, "But I came in here to ask you to come with me."
"Come with you?" Ryan asked, "You mean to tell your parents?"
Sara nodded, "They might need proof…. And well, if you're going to marry me you've got to meet my parents." She winked.
Ryan laughed, "You're right, but I don't know if I can leave the kingdom at a time like this…"
"Leave Spirit in charge for a little while, she knows how things work right?"
Ryan thought for a moment, "yeah, she does… okay. I'll ask her if she'll do it," he laughed, "I know she'll say yes. But I can't be gone for more then a night okay? I have to be here too."
Sara nodded, "I understand, I knew the consequences when I said yes."
Ryan grinned, "I'm glad you did say yes."
Sara kissed him, "No problem."
