This is an idea I've had for a while. Granted, it's not original. Remember, way back when, when there were those books where you could choose what was going to happen next? You'd read about ten pages and then if you wanted Blah to happen, you'd have to turn to page fifteen... but if you wanted Blah Blah to happen, you had to go to page eight? Sometimes you made a wrong decision and wound up dead? Or you didn't like your choice and back-tracked until you got the story you wanted?

At any rate, that's my idea for the newest story I want to undertake.

The idea is that I'd start out with one main chapter that would be open-ended enough to allow for many possibilities. The next updates would be your three possible choices and the three possible chapters - all updated at once.

So, I'd have the standard Chapter 1. Then there would be an update titled "Choices" with three short descriptions of what your choice will mean. Then the next subsequent three installments, would be "Chapter 2, Choice 1", "Chapter 2, Choice 2" and "Chapter 2, Choice 3". Based on the "Choices" installment, you'd choose one of the three chapters.

Each of the chapters will be relatively different. Eventually, one story will end happily, one unhappily and one open-ended. But you'll be choosing the chapters, so you can't blame me if you don't like the ultimate ending :)

I suppose you could even read them all if you really wanted to.

So, basically, I'm posting this to see if anyone would be interested in this type of thing. If so, would you also be interested in building the initial first chapter - vote on genres, give me plot ideas, supply me with character names and descriptions, etc.

If people actually seem interested in this, I'll start working on it ASAP.

Oh yes... and here are the genres I'm most apt to do...

Mystery

Romance - Though there is a 95.87 chance I won't do just romance; another genre will have to be part of it too.

Supernatural - I will not do vampires or werewolves. And I probably won't do demons either. Those are all way too over done.

Combination of several genres?

So... review and let me know, please. And also let me know if you are totally confused and have absolutely no idea what in the world I'm talking about.

Thanks! :)
