(A/N) I have been sitting at my computer for God knows how long, thinking my tiny little brain out, and all I can produce is this meager authors note?! Seriously, I have been here for at least a week, trying to get something decent down on paper (or, in my case, computer) and this is all I get. I think I may have writer's block. In any case, I will try my damnedest to get SOMETHING out to any of those who are actually reading this. And I'm trying to get away from my usual humor stuff (that I write a lot of, but never get around to posting), which is pretty hard for me, considering my life is centered around laughing and being funny (when you live in a house with hardly anyone you can get along with, laughter is all you can count on) so I can write something a little more along the lines of horror and what-not. Well, here goes. . . (by the way, the time lapse between this authors note and the actual story is pretty long)

Victoria Janine Spring had no idea that her life would change forever on November 15, 2004. She had no way off knowing that she would have to make the choice of living or dying; and she didn't even know she was making that choice. . .

Victoria sighed as she rummaged through the kitchen cabinets. There was NOTHING to eat, and she was starving. She hated it when her mother went away on business trips. This one was two states away, and Victoria was stuck home alone until her mother returned; a week from today.

She looked for the keys to the car. She wanted something to eat, and she would get it if she had to go eat fast food, which was exactly what she was planning right now. And it gave her a good excuse to get out of the lonely house.

Victoria pulled into the nearly empty McDonald's parking lot, being sure to get close to the door so she wouldn't have to walk far back in the cold. Stepping up onto the walkway, she could see her breath crystalize in front of her face, reflected by a combination of moonlight and street lamps.

The woman behind the counter was blonde and heavily coated in makeup and reading a magazine when Victoria walked up. The woman (whose name tag read Samantha) clearly looked annoyed at having another customer so late at night. 9:30 P.M. was no time for people to be eating fast food, in her opinion. But, never the less, she took Victoria's order of a Big Mac, small fries and a Coke politely, hoping that the her shift would come to an end already.

Victoria sat at the far end of the restaurant, near a window. She took no notice of the other person sitting, not eating anything. He was about sixteen, pretty muscular, dressed in a black overshirt, unbuttoned just enough that you could see the white undershirt beneath it and black pants held up by a leather studded belt. He had shaggy black hair and it all stood out against his pale complexion.

He sat there and watched the other person in the restaurant eating her burger and staring out the window. He let a smirk play about his lips as he watched her exit the McDonald's a few minutes later. Silently, he got up and followed her.

(A/N-OK, I think it gets a little more interesting here, and for all you people out there with nasty minds coughcough Manny coughcough NO, he is NOT going to rape her. At least not yet, I'm not sure about later though)

Victoria was about to open the driver side door to get in the car when she heard a voice behind her shout, "Wait!"

She turned to see the goth boy from the McDonald's run up to her.

"Please, miss, can I ask you a favor?"

He seemed polite enough, but Victoria was skeptical. Something about him made her uneasy, and it wasn't just his looks; she felt kind of scared to look at him. She was hesitant to answer.

"What do you need?"

"I was wondering of you could give me a ride to my house. My car broke down, and when I tried to call, no one was home." He looked at her hopefully. Victoria sighed and looked away. What would her mother say to her at a time like this? Victoria Spring, you never ever talk to strangers, especially scary looking goth ones that ask you for a ride. OK, maybe that isn't exactly how she would put it, but something like that.

"Well, I kind of need to be getting home, but, how far away do you live?"

He heard him breathe a sigh of relief. He said, "It's only about five minutes down the road, I'll give you directions."

"Great, hop in,"

He thanked her and went around to the other side and got in, Victoria doing the same on her side and cranking the car.

"Just go straight on this road and then turn left"

She caught a glimpse of him pointing the way and she saw what had scared her about him. His eyes. They were solid black. It was like he had no pupil or iris or anything, just black. Must be some kind of freaky contact lenses or eye surgery. She didn't want to make him angry, but she just had to ask, "Are those contacts?"

He seemed a bit confused at first, then figured out what she was talking about.

"Oh, yeah. Creepy, huh?"

She was honest in her answer, "Way creepy."

He smirked. It added to his overall creepy-ness. Victoria hid the sudden urge to turn around and go back, but there was a little voice in the back of her head that said, "It's too late," and another one that screamed at her, "You idiot! What have you done, letting him in your car like that?"

She shook the feeling off as best she could and tired to concentrate on what was being told to her.

"Just turn down this dirt road; my house is all the way at the end,"

She nodded and turned. The house was an old two-story farm house with peeling paint. It looked kind of creepy to Victoria, and she was glad when Mr. Goth-Boy (Who hadn't told her his name, although, she really didn't care to find out what it was) got out of the car and thanked her again.

"See you soon," he said, turning to leave.

If I ever see you again, it will be way too soon. She thought, turning to go home as soon as she could.

(A/N)- OK, this chapter really short and really sucky, but never fear, for the next chapter will be longer, because something important happens in it. What, you ask? Sore wa holds up finger himitsu desu. (Me do good Xelloss impression, no?) LOL Oh, and BTW, I put a certain SOMEONE in as a cameo in this chapter, you know who you are, and that's to show just how much I WUV YOU!
