Standing At The Twilight

Standing at the twilight
Your shadow moves across the sky.
Flickering like the darkness
That resides within your eyes.

Hiding in the shadows
Never touching ground.
Too afraid to see
That you were always bound.

Respiring shallow dreams
Upon the extent of humanity,
Like wallowing in disparity
Never being found.

There's no need to fear the moonlight,
Shimmering like a goddess,
It should always feel right.

Just let your soul connect with mine.
I swear that look will be gone by five.
The a.m. is all we need.
