Chapter 1
POP! The two dragon sisters suddenly appeared dead center in the most desolate area on Earth. It wasn't their intention to land in that area, let alone that time period. They were hopping through time to explore different worlds and dimensions when they stumbled across Earth. But when they set the co-ordinates, there was a slight mis-calculation. Earth was much different then any of the other dimensions and planets when setting the co-ordinates. Earth seemed to be very...case sensitive, if you know what I mean.
The two women were indeed sisters and were indeed dragons, but they tend to like their human form better. It was only just two decades ago on their planet in which they were able to change into human form. Ever since then, hardly anyone wanted to look like their true form as a dragon.
Leila, the elder sister, was the scientific wiz. She knew things that most scientists on Earth had never heard of. She always acted like the younger one, only because she had to be an adult when she was younger and had to take care of Kyrin.
Kyrin, three years younger, was sort of ditzy and didn't quite understand the rules and regulations about the world around her. It was even worse when she was going to different worlds and having to adjust. She never adjusted very well. Leila always busted her out of difficult situations. She did it without a complaint or a scolding. They were having fun and running away from a situation in which they were never going back to.
"Are you sure you set it right?" Kyrin asked as the wind blew by, still without a single being in sight.
A sphere formed in Leila's hands as she looked at the strange looking objects inside, "It says it's correct."
"Well this is boring. Change the time and let's get it right." Kyrin suggested as she flipped a thin piece of plastic from behind her ear, over her eye and scanned the area.
"Okie dokie." The sphere disappeared. She raised both her hands, opened her mouth wide, took a deep breath and was just about to chant the spell when all of a sudden...
"DON'T YOU DARE!" A loud rumbling voice was heard. Dark clouds formed over top of them as they stared upwards. It looked as though a twister was in the works, but it was just the time god, a very angry time god at that.
The dark clouds formed into a large being that looked like the grim reaper, but the time god was only shy about it's appearance. I say 'it' only because gods don't really have genders.
The god glided down in front of them, but even so, it was still much much taller than them. "Oh, heya." Leila said with a goofy smile and a wave.
A large hammer appeared in the gods hand as it started to speak, "You have broken so many rules that I should just smash you into oblivion right now." Their faces turned to sadness. "But I won't." They perked up once again.
"That's why we love you!" Leila said with the same goofy smile.
"For defying my previous warnings, I am going to punish you severely by forcing you to stay here, unable to use your time traveling abilities."
"But...but..."
"Not forever. Just until I say you can leave."
"When will that be?" Kyrin whined.
"WHEN I SAY YOU CAN LEAVE!" The time god had a very short temper. Without another word from any of them, the time god spun up toward the dark clouds and disappeared. The blue sky was showing once again, with good ol' happy sun. But it did nothing to cheer up the sisters.
They stood in silence and in shock, staring into the distance. The wind blew by them once again.
"Hm, I don't know if I like the sound of that." Kyrin stroked her chin.
"Sounds like the perfect excuse to me! 'Oh sorry daddy, we couldn't come home, the time god forced us to stay on Earth, boohoohoohoo!' Bwahahahah, this sounds like a most delicious deal to me!" She rubbed her hands together in an evil manner.
"I see your point. Then it's settled, we shall stay here!"
"Exactly. We never had enough time to explore the other planets. So we'll explore double time on this one." They were excited more than depressed. Those two seemed to always find the positive side to everything. They started their exploring by venturing forward singing a song aloud with each other. It was in another language, so it's hard to decipher.
Several hours later, they had collapsed on the ground, still without finding civilization. They were hungry, tired and annoyed. There was so positive side to this.
"Maybe there is no civilization here." Kyrin suggested.
"We wouldn't have come here if there wasn't. The sphere never lies."
"It is your creation, maybe it's faulty."
"If I wasn't so tired, I'd get up and kick your-" She was interrupted by a quacking sound. From shock and adrenalin, they sprung up and looked at the creature in front of them. It was a duck.
"What is that?!" Leila questioned, wanting to poke at it, but every time she reached her hand out, it was would quack at her and scare her.
"Maybe we can call it food." Kyrin said as her stomach rumbled. The duck also had a collar around it's neck, but the sisters didn't find that weird, considering all the messed up places they've been.
"Hm..." Leila sat on her knees and was reaching out to grab it when they heard voices in the distance that seemed to be yelling at them. They both looked up and saw two men running at them with their arms extended downward.
They stood up and blinked while staring at them with utter confusion. The men finally reach them and immediately began to argue with each other, pushing and shoving the other.
"That's mine!"
"No way, I got here first!"
Leila quickly intervened, "Actually you got here at the same time."
"But there's no need to fight over little ol' us." Kyrin batted her eyes and giggled. The men were muscular and the one on the right was more good looking then the one on the left, but they weren't ones to be picky.
The men looked at them with fright. They hadn't noticed they were even standing there. They were speechless, at least it got them to stop arguing. The girls definitely looked strange to them. They had on what looked like to be leotard outfits with a bit of flare in various places and a distinct symbol around their necks which seemed to be part of their body. It was the dragon symbol. If touched, they could return to normal.
Leila looked down at the touch that was still standing still and then at the men and back down at the duck. A huge smile crossed her lips. "Oh, I get it! I know how to solve this!" They all stared at her. She reached into her dimensional pouch and with a bit of digging around, she soon pulled out an ax and wielded it over her head. "I'll cut it in half!" Leila said with a demonic chuckle to add to her demonic smile. Kyrin took a step to the side.
"NO!" The two men shouted.
"Wait a minute...where did that come from?" The man on the right asked.
"From my dimensional pouch...didn't you watch me pull it out? It's my personal invention." She giggled, still holding the ax up in the air.
Suddenly Leila was pushed out of the way onto the ground and Kyrin took her place. "I'm sorry for my sisters insanity. What exactly are you doing?"
"We're in the martial arts competition. We're supposed to find this duck and bring it back in tact." The man on the right said. The other man just really didn't have anything to say, he looked mindless anyway.
"Martial arts hm?" She picked up the duck. "I'll give you the duck if you tell me where town is."
He stared at her blankly. "Are you stupid?"
Leila suddenly is standing behind Kyrin trying not to laugh. Kyrin got a bit peeved by that remark. "What is that supposed to mean?!
"The town is right over there." He pointed directly behind them. Kyrin and Leila stepped to the side and stared at the giant town that was not so far into the distance.
"Huh...you didn't pull that out of your pouch just to make me look stupid, did ya Leila?"
"You wish." Leila smiled. "All right! But before we go..." She takes the duck from Kyrin and holds it up in front of her face. "That is such a cute necklace, where did you get it?!" The duck quacked.
The man on the right was getting irritated with the situation and decided to take action. He punched the other man square in the face then snatched the duck from her hands and ran back toward town.
"Well! How rude!" Leila crossed her arms and puffed her cheeks. Kyrin pattered her on the back and watched him run away. They looked down at the man on the ground. He was out cold. They looked back up at the other man who was almost out of sight.
"What a powerful being."
Leila recovered and barely remembered what she was upset about. "I think they're called humans here."
"Whatever he is, I'd like to get to know him."
"First, we should find good."
"Oh, yeah." Kyrin was brought back to reality with a growl from her stomach.
