204"What was that all about?" Kris asked as they walked towards their first class, Art.
"Nothing." Adrianne answered quickly, not looking at her best friend.
"Well you guys looked pretty... close. Are you two dating or something?"
"NO! Hell no! The last thing that I would do is date HIM." Adrianne spat, venom dripping from her words.
"Alright... it's obvious that you have a pretty bad past with this guy."
"You have no idea..." With that said, the girls entered the art room, shutting the door behind a matter of hours thefirst half of school was finally done and Adrianne soon found herself sitting with her friends at their usual table.
"Hello Porter." Tom drawled as he slid into the space beside Adrianne. She rolled her eyes and turned to face him, hate burning in her eyes.
"What do you want now?" Adrianne hissed as she clenched her fists.
"I just want to talk to you Adria." Tom teased as he played with a lock of her hair.
"First of all, I'm busy. Secondly, get your hands off my hair. Lastly, don't call me Adria." She spat as she pulled away from him.
"Fine then, I'll see you later Porter." Tom said as he dropped the lock of her hair that he had been playing with. He then stood up and left, leaving a few girls nearby breathless.
"Woah. Anything you want to share?" Michelle said as she took a sip from her diet coke.
"Uh... no, not really." Adrianne said before she bit into the Fuji Apple that she had been eating before Tom had arrived.
"I didn't know that you knew the new hottie." Jessica said with a sly grin as she leaned forward, eager to know more about Tom.
"I didn't know that he was the new student. Besides, he isn't a hottie." Adrianne said with a roll of her eyes.
"Oh come on Dri! You guys seemed pretty friendly to me." Michelle urged.
"Seemed is the word." Adrianne said, still not looking at her friends.
"Come on Drianne! What aren't you telling us?" Jessica pleaded, desperately trying to get her friend to cave in.
"Look, she's obviously not comfortable with it. So can we just change the topic?" Kris suggested, stepping in for her best friend.
"Oh-kay... whatever." Mitch said with a roll of her eyes. Adrianne shot Kris a grateful look before the girls lunged into a heated conversation about their plans for the week.
The school bell rang, signaling the end of the first day of class. The halls were immediately filled with students heading towards the parking lot.
"Bye you guys!" Adrianne called out as she and her friends split ways. She headed towards her red Ferrari and threw her bags into the passenger seat before hopping into the driver's seat.
"Did you honestly think that you would get rid of me this easily?" a voice sneered from beside her. Adrianne groaned before turning to face Tom, annoyance written all over her face.
"God Matthews! When will you leave me alone?!"
"Once I decide that you are sane enough to be left alone."
"God! I give up, get in. We can talk at my house."
"No, I'll just follow you in my car." With that said, Tom jumped into his black Jaguar. Adrianne just rolled her eyes before zooming out of the parking lot, Tom right behind her.
