Aaron walked into the small, nice looking Italian restaurant called Martino's Place. As it says in the title, it is owned by his boss-Martino. Martino was like a father to Aaron. When Aaron was young, Martino took him in and raised him as if he were his own child. He taught Aaron everything he knows today. At the age of 18, Martino got Aaron into his business-to make sure that nobody cheats Martino out. Aaron has been in Martino's gang for the past six years now.
He walked into a small private room in the back of the restaurant. Inside, there were two men, who looked around to be in their late forties, playing poker while smoking cigars. Martino's head was starting to go bald and he had a round belly. The other man, Tony, still had a full head of hair-what every aging man wants. Both may be old and frail looking, but never mess with them. If you do, you would soon regret ever doing it.
"Hey, it's Aaron," said Martino with his Italian accent. "Come and join us."
He sat in an empty chair near the wall, far away from them. "What do you want, Martino?" he asked, getting straight to the point.
"Straight to the point," said Tony, "that's what I like most about you."
"You know Christian?" asked Martino. Aaron nodded. Christian was another leader of a different gang. He was neither friend nor foe; it just depended on the circumstance. Recently, he cheated Martino out of a deal. Martino continued, "He's back in town. Rumor has it that one of his men is giving him some trouble."
"And this concerns me how….," said Aaron.
"Relax," said Tony, "that the man finish."
"Anyway," said Martino. "Christian is not supposed to even be alive. Johnny was supposed to kill him a week ago." Johnny was another member of Martino's gang. "But he was the one killed after Christian and his men tortured him for information."
"So now Christian knows what we were planning on doing to him," finished Tony.
After a few moments of silence, Aaron said, "So now you want me to kill him." It was a statement, not a question.
"Exactly," said Martino. "You're the best."
"Great," Aaron said sarcastically.
He got out of the chair and silently walked out of the room. He went home to plan on when and how he was going to kill Christian.
Charm walked into her tiny apartment. She had just got back from walking around the town with her two friends, Rachael and Marie. She hoped that David was in a better mood than earlier. She found him sitting in front of the television. The television reflected in his striking blue eyes and his brown hair was pulled back in a little ponytail. The clock read 10:00 p.m.
"Where did you go?" asked David, not bothering to look away from the television.
"I went around town with Rachael and Marie," she hesitantly replied. She made sure that she was far away from his location.
"I'm in deep shit," he absently replied.
"I don't have any money," she quickly replied, knowing where this was going. Then quietly, without thinking, she added, "I've already wasted too much on you."
Before she knew what was happening, he was off the couch and had her in a deadly grip. "Let go," she pleaded quietly. "That hurts."
"What do you know, bitch?" he yelled in her face.
"Please." How can someone be so attractive, but yet not be.
"I can't deal with your shit tonight." He pushed her backwards and she fell hard onto the floor. She held back her tears, not willing to show him that he hurt her. Not allowing him to get pleasure from her pain.
He walked into the kitchen and she heard the refrigerator open. "I need some more beer. The store should still be opened," he said, anger still visible in his voice.
She quickly got up off the floor and headed out of the room, glad to be away from him before he did more damage. Tears ran down her cheeks as she ran down the stairs and out of the building.
