Delusional
Panting, racing the sea, Rachael fought to breathe.
Waves roared, furiously slapping the rocks to her left.
Sea spray tangled her hair, the soggy light brown mane
Sticking to her face and the sides of her neck.
Rachael slowly stopped to a leisurely walk.
She gradually bent down, folding her dress underneath her,
And made herself a seat on the white sand;
Knees sore and aching.
"What have I done?" she asked herself,
Tears forming in the corners of her blue eyes.
Rachael began to cry into her sand-covered hands.
