"Unnecessary Flaring"
Track meet is over,
We thought we did alright,
but apparently not through the coach's eyes.
We were getting a little too loud.
Then, we got warned for being too pumped up.
We continued to talk and we said some things,
about how we thought that track was a self improvement thing.
Well, the one coach over heard and he flared right up.
He told us we didn't do good enough,
and then, we talked among ourselves,
about what a true jerk he was being.
Then, he again he flared right up once again.
He told us we didn't do "Damn Good Enough"
We knew we were loud and talking about what he said.
Luckily he didn't hear us again.
He also took Jesus's name in vain.
My one friend became emotionally upset,
while the other was flaring up with anger,
from what he had said.
The others got quiet and I did too, but I still looked him straight in the eyes.
All I can say, I'm sorry were not good enough for you.
At that moment, I knew tomorrow would be bad,
I also knew we could actually get him kicked out as a coach.
The Respect I once had for him is now completely gone.
A coach is supposed to be decently harsh and supportive.
Not cold and a jerk towards his runners,
but he's lost more than just my respect,
He's also lost my friends too.
All because we were being loud,
Talking about our own personal bests,
we got flipped out on.
He's lost all my respect!
